Agreed. And yet we get a cabin photo booth "feature" that will gather dust in the toy box. It always makes me question who is making these dev decisions. There are so many other valuable functional features dev cycles could be applied to rather than pushing out something like this.

My daughter will use this until the wheels blow off the truck.. I'm not that old but younger people love these things.

the only thing from car play I would like to see for an app is WhatsApp, it the only texting app I use. the nav/maps is freaking awesome.

By next summer Grok is gonna be able to control the whole car. Was that video from China where Grok could move the seats and lower the windows legit?

I thought the update would allow Grok to do a lot more in the car, basically just providing a solid bridge between the user and the clunky voice control. Hopefully they can speed up Grok advancement as the BYD cars are starting to really take off as far as tech goes and Tesla should be leading not catching up at this point.

I really dont get the desire for car play. I had it in my bolt and it sucked. Apple wants to make all sorts of decisions for you.
the text integration wasn’t good. iTunes we already have. Tesla nav is more useful in the car than maps. What’s the appeal?

For me the main thing is Waze, so I don’t have to run it on my phone screen. Everything else I agree - Tesla is better. And if they had the Waze app on Tesla that would be amazing!

But a car company giving out a holiday update? Every year (and sometimes twice a year)? Tesla is in a space all alone and I think it’s great!

I think that everyone would like it but they really have to make sure it’s solid so this small step shows they are working on it.

We should be able to tap “report” on a vehicle sprite when the driver is behaving badly. After a dozen or so reports, they get a ticket for “driving while being an asshole”

It would have to be verified by other cars. Why not just have the cars do it autonomously? More objective. Swarm behavior in general would probably make for safer roads.

-FindMy to see where family are
-Waze with location of police
-Sirius/XM
-Pandora
- A Better Route Planner
