UPDATE as 4pm on 1/15:

Tesla Service in Anaheim said he ran my problem up the ladder and got the repair approved for me. Woo hoo!

The discussion here, the tweets I made, the advice from CT owners, who knows what moved them to approve it but they did. Maybe none of that did anything and they just decided to do the right thing. Either way I am thrilled.

Thank you all for your help.

Yes. He didn't respond but I sent a second DM after it was resolved just in case he played a part.

Yes I have. Rear inverter went out and had to be towed in and replaced. The screen went out (different event) completely after a week or so of error beeps and blinking on and off. Tonneau and tailgate buttons had to be replaced (different event). Plus I had all the recall fixes like front overhead console, camera fan, wire harnesses, etc.

I have a whole list of repairs that have been done since March 2024 when I took delivery. I love the truck but I think it’s also a “lemon”.
I’ve had a similar experience. Picked mine up on 9/14

May this never happen to you. I have 138 miles to last me until my service center appt on Monday. Even though Grok says I can usually charge at Superchargers, I just tried and I cannot. It says supercharger failure but I tried a different one and got the same message.

My home charging ended early and threw up a message “AC charging unavailable”. Service center appt required. I made the appt but the earliest is Monday. Nothing unusual about my home charging or state of charge being too low or too high.

I have 51,000 miles. I’m out of standard warranty so hopefully this will be considered part of battery drivetrain warranty. Grok says it could go either way and if I have to pay it’s around $4k.

Make sure to emphasize they seal the PCS area with new seals. Especially if you do a lot of driving on dirt, sand, mud or snow. Don't let them re-use the same seals. If they won't immediately agree or confirm this, tell them to talk to Wes Morril or the team at the Las Vegas, Nevada Sahara service center. Otherwise debris will damage the communications harness and will take the battery pack with it.

As a newer CT owner, with only 2,200 miles on it, this whole conversation makes me very nervous. I'm glad your SC got it worked out for you, though.

I, personally, haven't been really impressed with Tesla's service. I have to take mine in because the rear driver's side window doesn't seal when it is all the way up. I have to pay $240 for a diagnostic fee before I can even take it in. I think that is ridiculous. 2,200 miles and a failed window seal might not be under warranty? Crazy. I sent them a video where you can clearly hear that dropping the window a bit fixes the issue, which means it's a build problem. I love my CT, but all this nonsense makes it harder and harder to love it.

I had the same alerts on my '24 CB a week ago. They went away later that day. But, ever since, my 48W home charger will now only charge up to 24W. Coincidence or related? Hope it's not my home universal wall connector.

mine failed at 18k miles 18 months old. Replaced under warranty with the “G” revision.
My wife’s ICE Toyota has 100k miles without breaking down or any significant issues.
EVs need to be better

What is the "G" revision? Obviously, it's a revision of the PCS, but is it meant to fix the issues with the existing PCS's?

Tesla service is horrible in my area. Evertime they "fix" something its either not done right or they screw somthing else up in the process.

It's likely the truck limiting to 24A, especially if the display shows 24/48 when charging.

On my app, where I used to set it to 48A or below, it now only lets me set it to 24A or below. I am hoping it's the truck and not the Universal Charger that is having a problem.

One would hope so.

Remember revision doesn't always mean an improvement to the end result of worthiness as we as consumers would expect it to be. Sometimes a revision is a cost saving measure and possibly cheapening of components.

I do recall many here saying how the MSRP can go down over time via cost saving measures. 😆

It is a crap show at best lately.
