Me too, but I am still thinking about how to fix the problem. Maybe by the time I have resolved the various issues Tesla will have their own solution.

1. His specific complaint was that while he was 6'2", he couldn't reach over the side of the truck near the front.
2. My buddy removed the mirror in his Ram and put in a digital display and then a camera facing back from outside somewhere. It wouldn't be that difficult and Tesla could just use the video from the rear camera that is already in place. They could probably offer a mirror shaped monitor for that video feed and Homelink for $300 and would have a near 100% take rate.

I have a 23 Lightning with upgraded tow mirrors and a trailer camera from Ford. Ford's software is brutal and I would love to have rear wheel steering and experience steer by wire. But the mirrors and trailer camera feed are must haves for me

Remove your rear view mirror, enjoy the unobstructed view. You get used to the on screen rear view in about 2 days and won't miss it. I was in the same camp as you originally, upset the rear view wasn't a screen and now I don't miss it.
