To all the people that asked me to make these, I am making progress. Learned some good lessons in last 48 hours of “mass” production vs knickknacks for the hobby. Anyways, Friday I will be shipping out the first few.

And yes my pool table has now become the assembly and QC floor 😂
Great job @CTOmaha and thank you for your intrepid commitment to this (albeit small) community concern.

@TickTock did you upload the STEP files of these parts anywhere? Asking in case I somehow steal away some time to myself over the weekend and want to try modifying this into a sheet metal/printed piece composite part. Also worth mentioning that slowly more and more slicers are natively accepting imports of STEPs, since they produce less faceted prints and offer better alteration options for anyone tweaking the clearances between parts to better work on their printer/material/etc.

P.S. Helluva library of designs you have, the license plate frame is solid 🤠

If ur willing to make some I will purchase
I'm going to see if they will print okay for others after I print a test pair out this weekend. Sometimes, I don't get good results with my printer. Some things turn out great. Others, not so great. But, if I print some, they'll be black with glow in the dark yellow handles.

It took a couple more mouse-clicks but I was able to export STEP files from f360 easily enough. They are now uploaded into the prusa share link.

Decided to try out PCTG on one side of my truck. It is supposed to offer superior impact strength, higher heat resistance, and better chemical resistance (although I do not anticipate any issue with PETG either - it has been my go-to material for a long time). While I was at it I thought I would try glow-in-the-dark filament for the text. Works but only for a few seconds after energizing. Was just barely visible after the footwell lights went out. The shot below was taken shortly after energizing with a UV flashlight. Somewhat disappointed - was hoping it would last a bit longer.

That looks cool!
My son just got a Bambu A1 for Christmas, trying to figure out how to export your 3 files onto one print. Would love to try and make these.
Any suggestions on how to combine the words with the plate, and the arrow with the pull handle would be very helpful.

I am not familiar with Bambu, but on PrusaSlicer, you place the base, then right-click it, select Add-->Load then select the text stl file. It is automatically attached to the base in correct position. After that, you can save the plate as a .3mf file which includes everything. I would think this works with the Bambu slicer since they started with PrusaSlicer and added their own customizations.

Maybe someone on the forum with a Bambu Labs printer can comment on their software.

Look closer. ;-). The right-hand version has the text mirrored (so it will un-mirror when you flip it in the slicer). I could not figure out how to export the text STL flipped and have it still align with the base so you have to flip it once the base and text are loaded into the slicer.

Great print so far but what about the right pull? Do you have to flip the left too?

Thanks great job

You got it. There are instructions in the Description:

Description
The mechanical emergency door release on the cybertruck is hidden under a rubber insert in the door pocket. This makes it very unlikely to be found should an accident render the electronics unresponsive which could be deadly.
This model replaces the rubber insert with a clearly labeled pull handle.
The only difference between the base_left and base_right is the text is flipped so it will read properly after mirroring about the X axis.
To print the driver side:
  1. print the base_left. If you have a multi-color printer, add base_text_left and assign the desired extruder/color
  2. print the pull_left. If you have a multi-color printer, add pull_arrow_left and assign the desired extruder/color
To print the passenger side:
  1. print the base_right. If you have a multi-color printer, add base_text_right and assign the desired extruder/color. Then mirror before compiling gcode
  2. print the pull_left. If you have a multi-color printer, add pull_arrow_left and assign the desired extruder/color. Then mirror before compiling gcode
Make sure your pull is printed with something strong like PETG or PCTG with at least 30% triangular infill. I also recommend setting perimeters to 3.
There is an accommodation in the pull for a square nut and a M3X25 hex bolt to help strengthen it across the layer lines.

@TickTock - thanks for putting this design out for us. I've printed a dozen or so for people now.

I'm going to try printing in PC, just ordered a couple rolls. I have an Ender 3 v3 plus - I just need to do some venting and make an enclosure so the family isn't breathing in the fumes. I tried printing in ABS, but my printer did a poor job since it's not enclosed.

I have some glow in the dark petg - and was very disappointed with how long it lasts as well. It is pretty cool to show it off to people, but needs a lot of light to "charge" it.

I also printed your water trickle design, came out great:

Just got my prints from @CTOmaha (thanks!), they took about 2 minutes to install and work incredibly well. Easily visible to rear seat passengers in an emergency, and they click in place solidly using the existing slots in the door. Plus they match my interior nicely 😊
