Thank you for the answer and it just seems it would be easier and plainer to people to just pull up or out on a non hidden handle.

But then I guess I am also one of many still living in the late 20th century. LoL

Not sure how much wear and tear there is with the old way of handles. In my 47 years of owning cars and trucks of various types I have never had a handle break or not work. Not saying it never happens but.......

One time long ago I did have a hand window crank go bad on a ford. Back then I just popped off the inside door trim, replace the missing tooth bracket and remounted the door trim. Best I remember it was like a $20-25 fix for the part.

But I also get that Elon/Telsa wanted the CT to be like a future looking vehicle and with much of the latest tech.

Now if only we could get an emergency door release label for the front doors (or a mouse trap). I can't tell you how many people pull the emergency release when the regular door handle is labeled and visible right there, super annoying.
I did make something to attempt to discourage that:

Not super happy with the design - it tends to drift out of position. Will probably rev it eventually.

Let me know how well it fits. It is pretty snug in my truck so I wonder, given typical Tesla tolerances, how well it fits in others.
Works well, the bottom plate snapped in perfectly to the door. The pull handle is slightly rubbing against the edges where the pull wire is strapped, could use maybe 1mm more clearance in this section. But I'm being very nitpicky here. I printed the bottom plate in PLA, and the red handle in PETG.

@TickTock - appreciate the design, it works great. Do I have your permission to make these for others and charge nominally for time/filament?

Thanks for asking but feel free. I have no intention of selling so I am happy you are willing to provide that service. My only gripe is when people replace my logo with theirs (it has happened) but even then it is more just a head shake and eye roll rather than full on trigger.

Thanks @TickTock. Credit is all yours, I'm just providing a service to print.

For anyone wanting ones, yes I'd be able to print. No idea what is a fair charge? I printed in PETG at .1mm - takes 3+ hours on my printer and I have to switch colors as I don't have multiple color capabilities. $25 for both sides plus shipping? You guys tell me what is fair and I'll consider it. I'm not making a business out of this :)

I'm using stickers from Etsy for my front releases, I went with the red and white to match the rest of the interior. The red handles for the back doors would be perfect.

Maybe start with a list of takers…cost seems reasonable.

After looking at filament used and time invested, cost will be a little higher. But for now those that said to make one, I will do 25$. Going forward will be 10$ more. For those that asked already- DM your color choice - I have red, green, orange and blue on hand. I will get you guys payment options over DM. Not sure on how to best do shipping costs. Just DM please.

Will post in the “for sale” section as well.
