All,

I noticed recently that my truck only charges at 24A on my AC home charger. I went into service mode and found this PCS code. I have seen similar people post similar codes on this forum but not this one. I scheduled a service appointment but it's not for 3 weeks. Does this mean that I most likely need a new PCS? Thankfully I only have 44k miles on it so it's under warranty. Any advice is appreciated!

Possibly. Pcs is a complex electronic with many fail safes, redundancy and critical vehicle interactions. Hard to know if its a replacement fix without tesla techs looking into it but if you are having charging issues it will likely require replacement.

I would enter a ticket and ask a Service Center to perform a diagnostic at the very least so it's easily documented as a problem that started *before* your warranty expires.

Did you notice anything out of the ordinary that may have caused it?

No, didn’t notice anything. Just that my home charger wasn’t getting to 48A like it normally does.

Is it possible to try another home charger?
Ya I have 2 home chargers, one through FPL and the other through Tesla. Both charge at 24A and both are set to 48A.

Probably be ready to take it in if you lose the ability to charge at home, regardless of appointment

You can try a Supercharger if you lose the ability to charge at L2.

This is almost certainly a failing PCS. If it was me, I'd supercharge only until you can get in for service. Schedule it now as it's a part that has availability challenges from time to time.

FWIW -- When mine failed the symptom that I first noticed was 48A charging dropping down to 24A. The error message more or less tells you the problem, one of the two onboard Cycloconverters as failed.
