I know the off road light Bar has been an ongoing topic here, but I want to collect some data to present to TESLA.

I took delivery of my Cyberbeast back in May 2024. It’s been 9 months and I have not yet received “the email” to come and get your light. Nine months is way to long to wait. I called “customer relations” today and was told its a “hurry up and wait game” and there is NOTHING they can do on their end to expedite the process.
I have a neighbor that recently took delivery of his truck and has his light bar.

Some here on the forums have had success by just making a service appointment and had the light bar installed without the email. This tactic has not worked for me at 2 different service appointments.

I have 2 other Tesla vehicles and this has been the worst experience with Tesla service so far.

Question for fellow Cyberbeast owners here. How many here have had their light bars installed and how long have you owned your truck?

I could have had a baby by now..9 months is ridiculous and unacceptable!

Picked up my beast in July, no word on the light bar. But I'm in no hurry, as I'm not sure I actually want it.

If it was removeable, definitely. But glued to the windshield? Dunno 'bout that....

For this reason I bought an aftermarket removable lightbar.

The Merritt Island SC told me a couple of weeks ago that they had only seen one light bar to date and it was an engineering demo for them. Although I really want the lightbar, I’m willing to wait if they are fine tuning the design.

I did pick up the wheel covers (never got an email) which I thought were ugly and I didn’t really want to put them on. But multiple women told me they liked them so I did install them and now they’ve grown on me ;)

Took delivery of beast in July. Light bar installed and wheel covers received at end of January. No emails received prior to installation. Actually received an email that my wheel covers were ready to be picked up a week after they were already installed. This was from Paramus NJ center.

I did add the light bar installation to a prior service ticket unsuccessfully but the service center added it for me on next visit and installed. God speed.

What’s grown on you, the women or the wheel covers? ?

@CactusPilot are there other service centers close to you to try the appointment "trick"? IMO depending your service advisor and/or the service center's manager, some are not the best at handling these types of requests.
I have tried both service centers in my area. Same response.

Picked up my CB end of September. I was one of the lucky ones that got the hubcaps on delivery. However I am still waiting for my lightbar.
I have tried 2 times for the “trick” and both times got an estimate of over $3k for the install and a phone call the day before telling me I can’t get the lightbar and wait for the email.
Smithtown SC NY, this is my 4th Tesla I have picked up from this SC and I have been back many times for parts for my late model S I have been working on for my daughter.
They know me and yet I still can’t get the lightbar.
It hasn’t been 9 months but yeah still waiting is getting old.

Likewise, Blitzen arrived July, 3rd and I have tried the polite appointment several times, here is my latest attempt and response:

Picked up my beast 31Jun2024, still no light bar, I'm in upstate New York, so not many CTs up here yet. Although I jumped on snow tires and wheels when they showed up in Nov and only lasted of couple of weeks before out of stock..........

Tried the email and service thing twice, showed up and they acted like they never saw it on the service appointment and I was sent away with no lightbar. I have a 3rd "lightbar" appointment setup for 2/18...where they are actually corresponding with me so let's see. Will provide an update here also there is another thread similar to this one on here.

Want it, but mixed feelings until someone comes up with a more practical cover than blackout tape. Off-road would not be my idea of fun, perhaps a rare necessity, so the utility is limited for me, and not worth getting tickets for having it uncovered (depending on the state...and that small towns may ticket you for otherwise trivial things to make $$).
