Foundation Series Light Bar Waiting Room

Got my foundation series beast in March 2024. I haven’t received a notification that my light bar is ready to be installed. However, I’m friends with with the general manager at my service center, and he said that they’re in the process of revising to a new light bar, which is why people aren’t being notified that theirs is ready.

Also, for everyone saying that it’s based on the VIN, I can tell you that this is not correct at all. Reason being is that I’m VIN 000218. My service manager confirmed that it does not go in order of the VIN at all. ?‍

Tried to request it for Canada but they said they aren't shipping it to Canada yet so no idea when this will ever happen.

Second Time im going through the TESLA waiting game. I was on of the first to purchase the Model 3 Performance. Waited almost a year before they emailed to come and get your Carbon Fiber Spoiler that was standard on all Performance models.

Now it’s the Light Bar.

Want it, but mixed feelings until someone comes up with a more practical cover than blackout tape. Off-road would not be my idea of fun, perhaps a rare necessity, so the utility is limited for me, and not worth getting tickets for having it uncovered (depending on the state...and that small towns may ticket you for otherwise trivial things to make $$).

good point. I’m happy to wait. Just like I’m happy to wait for the battery in the bed. Let others do the beta testing.

i have a service scheduled for a charging port door issue, i added the lightbar installation request, and they have yet to kick it back, i want it, but but a few of you are talking about a 2.0 lightbar (that i would assume might come with a cover?)
I'll report back when i go in 2/25

Just had mine taken off and I had service last week. I tried what everybody said on here.

With that VIN you should be getting treated like royalty! it’s really a shame that they can’t do better at this kind of thing.

Well update, just went in for my appointment. No lightbar, this time they apologized and admitted they screwed up and someone didnt order the parts, they looked at the history and rescheduled to as soon as it comes in so clearly they do have the ability to order it when they want...

I was told yesterday at the Tesla Service Center near me that the light bars are on indefinite hold. None of them are being shipped. They didn’t know the reason.
