Record snowfall here in Alaska's Capitol City.
On the downhill plowing - not more than 4 inches then tires lose grip.
I recently bought a set of tire chains, I haven’t used them yet but they are light weight and seem good, although it took forever to find a set that would fit. Have you tried any tire chains?

Tire chains are so last century! Yes, I know local governments still require them sometimes in limited areas but that is only because government doesn't move with the times. They should never be required on a modern vehicle with AWD and true winter tires.

My solution is to risk the ticket. I know what equipment I need to get where I'm going when the going gets atrocious! One more case of government going where they have no particular expertise.

Interesting, where did you get them can you post a link? Thanks my plowing is limited with Cybertruck mount on rear; hope to get front hitch this year.
Sorry didn't answer question; I have not tried snow chains on Cybertruck although with these condition they might help.

AWD and 4x4 do absolutely nothing for stopping, brakes are applied to all four tires, and that is the reason for chains. In Colorado, you need chains or Snow tires. Snow tires are the best, but my tires where in a weird, not bald enough to replace, and to bald for any kind of snow. I bit the bullet to get some real snow tires, as that was my plan. I usually have two sets of wheels for all my vehicles, one with summer tires and one with snow tires. But all the companies that make snow tires for CT sized tires, wouldn't have any in until March. And I plan on getting bigger wheels for my summer, most likely K03s, tires. Also K03s(and any non-snow tire) are not good snow tires. Tread depth do not make a good snow tire, rubber compound does. So... Long story long, I got chain to hold me over this winter until I can get the proper tire.

I got these, HYP-C, they fit, but I haven't used them on the snow yet to see if they work well. The chain is not as thick as other chains I've used. They might not last too long if you ever drive on pavement with them.

I bought the Tesla tire chains to use up the voucher, which insured that I will never need them.

I'm sorry you had to get chains.
