Got the update but, my Tesla phone app on Android hasn't updated. Cannot use photo booth or other new features. Anyone with Android having this issue? Playstore says I've got latest version though not the app version i need.
Same. Waiting for my Android phone app update 👀

It’s not just regen. It also disables the traction control when trying to start, or other times when you actually need the wheels to spin a bit.
I'm pretty sure "Slippery Surfaces" doesn't disable traction control, more likely it detunes the traction control a bit at the initial movement, and it might even adjust the parameters to speed up when an individual brake is applied to simulate a limited slip differential.

Any Android owners receive their Christmas Update yet?
The software is for the vehicle, not the phone, so the kind of phone you use has nothing to do with when you get the update. It's possible to have both Android and Apple phones paired with the vehicle.

That said, I use an 8-year old Android phone and got the Christmas Update last night. Nice!

That’s what I meant by “disables when starting”. Not sure how it works, but I know when you turn it one it give the “traction control off” indicator “light”. But if you’re driving in deep snow , not on a highway, off-road mode-Baja is the best. It allows for exact power applied for the amount of accelerator depressed. All other modes limit power when slipping.

Grok says what I want to hear in navigation but can’t actually do anything.
Me: park in front of the white barn when you arrive.
Grok: got it I’ll park in front…. (And then he did it!)
Me: great job (truck usually just stops in middle of driveway unsure of where to park.)
Me: “now I’m going to move the truck to my preferred spot in front of the windows. Can you remember this spot and park here on arrival from now on?
Grok - sure I’ll save this spot as your preference and park here next time.
Me: drives away from home, parks, asks grok to take me home.
Grok - sure thing, I’ll drive you home and park in your spot. Nothing happens on nav screen, truck starts driving wrong direction away from home.
Me: you’re going the wrong way. Turn around and (I provide turn by turn directions - grok. Repeats all back to me then proceeds to drive right past the first turn.

I tried desperately to figure out how to get him to take voice course corrections and he acknowledged them all but the nav just stayed off or stayed wrong and Grok couldn’t seem to control it.

I enter the address manually and get him going in the right direction. Drives home, parks in wrong spot….

So close and yet so far…..

Groke integrated with FSD/Navigation is still in Beta. AI will learn and continued to improve over time🤙

Standard profile is usable again. Hurry seemed back to normal too. I’m taking it on a road trip tomorrow so I’ll see how it does.

Has anyone here had any issues with Grok not hearing or understanding? Since the update it seems to miss some of my questions. It will also sometimes think I’m saying something else. Seems to have happened after this update.

Strange… I tried resetting a few times now and still no dice. Only the standard lock sounds are available to me outside of tron mode. Software version is 2025.44.25.5
I recall having to scroll up to find Tron lock chime on mine ... and it's working nicely. I'll check it again tomorrow.
Took a 180 mile round trip, and Grok rerouted me nicely to the more scenic route I wanted, all with FSD engaged. Just mentioned a couple of the towns I would like to drive through and it rerouted. Stopped at one supercharger and it parked just close enough to reach, less than 1/4 inch to spare.
FSD was great, over 3 hours with no interventions ... then parked in my neighbor's driveway at the end (ok, it's 15 feet from mine)!

I neglected to try Santa Mode ... tomorrow !!

This update has turned into a lump of coal....
Tesla Cybertruck 2025 Holiday Software Update now live (and installing on Cybertrucks)! istockphoto-149727481-612x612

What with FSD not working at all now, seems like this present was dropped off a little too early this time... so hard to find good help during the holidays...

Like crowdsourced speed limit information.
Can you imagine not only crowd sourcing reports but also using the AI to identify cops, stopped cars by side of the roads, traffic, construction, hazards, and have voice report reinforcement confirming that the pothole is in the left lane, or the middle lane has road debris, or a car is stopped on the right shoulder. Tesla could quantum leap Waze.

Just noticed that the “left phone” alert was activated by my AirPods charging on the pad. I believe it thinks it’s the phone charging. Can anyone confirm this bug?
Or maybe it’s a feature 😂

So, after contacting Tesla I received my updated "Tesla App" for Android early this morning. I can now use my new "Holiday Update" features like photo 📸 booth.
