This should give you an idea of how much more powerful it is than just the voice command.

I imagine controlling the music is going to be next. And then rolling out climate control I can’t wait for a full integration.
On the surface, it’s sounds so basic and redundant but realizing you can talk to your car like a human is a huge UX improvement.

Just wait another 1-3 years from now: legacy auto is going to announce ‘partnerships’ with OpenAI saying they can do the same…but will probably charge a recurring fee or a one time “option package” fee….and it’ll suck lol.

Seeing how gradual Tesla is rolling it out I don’t think any other car manufacturer is gonna have the cajones to do it anytime soon. Would’ve been fairly simple to integrate climate control, navigation and music when it first came out, but I think they’re trying to ease people into it.

I’d be pretty excited to use it as a tour guide in places I don’t know. I’d like for it to be able to identify points of interest and offer some internet wisdom on them. Maybe even intelligently learn what actually interested in seeing.
OMG! That's an awesome idea! That'd be great for weekend trips!

Even worse, I predict it wil be like current Google search integrations where they will sell your data and info on searches, frequency visited locations, etc. to data companies, but just imagine the AI element caching all of your searches, and then all of a sudden you'll hear "Sponsored Searches" come back for your restaurant recommendation from AI for example. It's already done today by the legacy automakers.

I think you missed a word there. I’m not sure if you liked it or you didn’t like it.

I'm really hoping we can correct routes on the fly by talking to Grok. I like taking back roads, and the default nav tries for the direct route, so I always end up inserting a random waypoint elsewhere to get it to drive the long way. I'd love it if we could just say, "Grok, no - take long way down Ridge road and then cut through on that road behind the mall" and have it update the route plan.

You're welcome. To be fair, it didn't cross my mind for a bit either.
It’s not just regen. It also disables the traction control when trying to start, or other times when you actually need the wheels to spin a bit.
