I couldn't agree more. Beautiful car btw. I had the same color on my 2013 S P85+, also my first Tesla. I had the rear facing jump seats in the trunk.Sorry to hear the Model S/X will be discontinued.
Our first Tesla was a 2019 Model S LR, and we loved it. The styling was almost timeless.

The Model X is supposed to be an SUV. From Tesla's 2012 reveal announcement:The low volume X and S needed the 10+ year old platforms to be refreshed from the ground up to remain competitive. It simply didn't make sense from a financial point of view. Also, the market for luxury sedans is virtually dead in America. SUV's and trucks are what's selling.
The Model Y is supposed to be an SUV as well. Says so front and center on the Model Y Home Page:Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) unveiled the highly anticipated Model X last Thursday evening at its Design Studio in Southern California ... Model X will be priced competitively with other premium SUVs.
Meet Model Y
Electric Midsize SUV
In what way? Dynamics, comfort?I test drove the S and X the Y was vastly superior to the S and X.
Now
I like the new mini-CT.

No, they already killed the S and X globally last year. They mostly only sold them in NA to begin with.According to Cox, the Cybertruck sold slightly better than the S/X combined in the US during 2025, by 20,237 to 18,955.
But Cox only tracks US sales. Globally, the S/X are a lot more widely available than the CT. On a global basis, the S/X combined probably outsold the CT in 2025.
So if Tesla is discontinuing the S/X, it may not be a positive sign for the CT. On the other hand, Elon seems to think that the CT -- or something like it -- has a future as an autonomous delivery vehicle:

The S and X are currently still being marketed in Europe and China. Here's the French order page for the S, for example. No, they already killed the S and X globally last year. They mostly only sold them in NA to begin with.
They need to sell 20m total, not per year. Cybercab will count. Elon said the Roadster will be the last new vehicle todayI would say this is an unlikely situation. Tesla needs to sell 20m cars to reach one of the Elon tranches and 10m FSD subscriptions for another. IMO a takerate of 50% overall is unlikely, so really need more than 20m in total sales... or ~11m more at minimum and with a reasonable take rate (and significantly higher than now), more like ~20m in sales. They can't do that without more designs. They'll all be mass market sort or have a commercial base. No more niche vehicles after Roadster.
