This written correctly? AWD has rear wheel tire wear bias, as stated by Tesla mobile service, probably should have rotated….
Yes...

I was gonna try and milk another 5k out of them, but I got a three inch piece of steel in a rear tire. Discount tires said they were unable to fix the slice... so I bit the bullet and ordered the Michelin platinum tires. They told me I should expect 70k to 80k from them... I know they are sales people so in my mind I am hoping for half of that. So far every tire rotation they have done for free nd have actually fixed a tire previously that got a nail in it for free. I try to be loyal to good customer service.

I am curious though, how many miles did you folks get on your original tires? The salesman told me mine were pretty much used up, but I am a poor Missouri boy and I actually thought the tread was not so bad. I remember when I first got my Foundation Series there were members of this forum that were having to replace them closer to 10k... so I really tried to be as gentle as I could be with them.

Appreciate your input.
I changed then at
42000 miles.

Replaced the OEM on my Beast at 19,700. Had 4-5/32 left. Also went with the Michelin Platinums. I’m 1,700 miles into them now. Pleased. Road noise is negligible.

I've never heard of a Duratrac RTS so I'll assume you mean the Duratrac RT. It's a tougher tire in terms of sidewall protection and flats than the Goodyear Territory RT. It has deeper lugs for mud and somewhat better traction off-road (although if not in mud or soft dirt the difference can be quite small). It's a little noisier, although far from obnoxious. It will impact your range 10%, maybe a bit more. I don't dislike mine, although it seems like a pretty specialized tire, made for soft surfaces. I drove them to Reno and back last winter and hit some severe glaze ice that had the semi trucks going 25 mph, even on the straight, level sections. Law enforcement was pulling over the trucks and making them chain up. I was glad I wasn't on the Territory RT's, They did a little better than the Territory RT's, but not by a large amount.

My biggest dislike of them is they nerf the nice pavement cornering abilities of the Cybertruck compared to the Territory RT's, and emergency braking performance is a bit less too. They are better at not hydroplaning in deep water at higher speeds but not any better on cold wet pavement (slightly worse actually). The extra energy consumption is a minor negative, not a deal-killer since I already have more range than I need. I do miss the quietness of the Territory RT's. They seem to wear well for a deep lug tire but I consciously drive them less aggressively on pavement because they let go easier and more suddenly than the Territory RT's, so that might explain the good wear.

In my opinion, it's more of a tire for rural areas, slower speeds, off-road, mud and dirt, heavy hauling at non-expressway speeds, etc. than for pavement.

I think that's pretty good for stock all seasons. Reading through past posts, it seems like they are shaved down for the truck to reduce noise and increase efficiency. Those people saying they got about 10k likely are goosing it at every light. I'm at about 20k and I know I am pretty aggressive with my driving. I've got plenty of tread left. I've been actually pushing them a bit lately because I wanted to get the new Perilli AT tires before hunting season and not have a second set taking up space on the garage.
I am goosing it at every light......better check my tires.

remember we love the 4 wheel steering, but it eats tires
those warranties of 50K+ miles are for two wheel steering vehicles
no matter the brand or model tire, id say 30K is the best you'll do
vs giving up 4 wheel streering....no way
Good point. I have to remind my family when they drive to be sure to start rolling before they turn the wheels.

I'm ar 20K on my original tires (FS AWD) and still have a lot of tread left.. I still have $$ in my Tesla wallet from the $2500 they gave us instead of the powershare. These funds expire by the end of the year and I'm thinking just buying some new tires and store them at home. Has anyone done this?

I got 35k out of my AT on my CB likely could have pushed 40. Didn’t rotate untill 20k was down to the ware bars on the front just roasted them and took it easy for the next 15 k, now I rotate at 10k.

24.5k on ATs with 4k while towing heavy camper. Replaced with Michelin platinums. Discount Tire said two of four tires were outside their tolerance (I know they are very conservative.)

PSA DT will match Costco prices. Saved me $100 on a set.

Thanks for the costco tip! I just got those exact same tires! I took them on a very curvy/hilly hwy in Arkansas and they squeezed the road. Seem pretty quiet as well. The Discount Tire Guy said I should expect 70 to 80 k miles... I am hoping for 60k.
