Thanks for the costco tip! I just got those exact same tires! I took them on a very curvy/hilly hwy in Arkansas and they squeezed the road. Seem pretty quiet as well. The Discount Tire Guy said I should expect 70 to 80 k miles... I am hoping for 60k.

Darick
Yep, I'll be very happy with 60K as well.

24.5k on ATs with 4k while towing heavy camper. Replaced with Michelin platinums. Discount Tire said two of four tires were outside their tolerance (I know they are very conservative.)

PSA DT will match Costco prices. Saved me $100 on a set.

do you think your range has gone up, down or remained the same with these tires?

What are your impressions of the change to K03? I think that sounds like my choice when it’s time for me to change.

Just got back from the tire shop and they said to start looking into new tires in the next 5k miles and they recommend K03s. I have 21k I’m on my FS CB

I was gonna try and milk another 5k out of them, but I got a three inch piece of steel in a rear tire. Discount tires said they were unable to fix the slice... so I bit the bullet and ordered the Michelin platinum tires. They told me I should expect 70k to 80k from them... I know they are sales people so in my mind I am hoping for half of that. So far every tire rotation they have done for free nd have actually fixed a tire previously that got a nail in it for free. I try to be loyal to good customer service.

I am curious though, how many miles did you folks get on your original tires? The salesman told me mine were pretty much used up, but I am a poor Missouri boy and I actually thought the tread was not so bad. I remember when I first got my Foundation Series there were members of this forum that were having to replace them closer to 10k... so I really tried to be as gentle as I could be with them.

Appreciate your input.
I put about 20k miles on my FS OEM tires before I decided to get something that will hopefully eek out a few extra miles of towing range. I opted for the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent, which is rated for very low rolling resistance. When the original tires came off, they still had ~6/32 of tread, so they were still in pretty good shape, and likely had a lot of life still in them. But I don't suffer from lead-foot disease, and I swapped my tires for the Tesla winter tire/wheel package during the Winter months (not sure if Winter driving is harder on the treads or not).

I spent several years on Michelin Defenders, on my 2016 Ford Escape - great tires. I would be shocked if you don't get pretty close to that 70k mile treadlife - mine were VERY good, wear-wise. When I noticed my new Winter tires getting better towing range than my OEMs, I figured I would get the Defender Platinums for non-Winter driving, assuming they (as A/S tires) would get better efficiency - something I need all I can get for towing. If anyone can share their towing experiences on the Michelins, I'd love to know how they fare versus the OEM Goodyears.

But, while I was comparing the various tires that were compatible with the Cybertruck, I noticed the Duelers had a much better rating for rolling resistance than most any other option, and they also had great speed and load ratings. So I decided on the Duelers. I haven't had time to put too many miles on them yet, but they are noticeably quieter and smoother, and I'm not digging as deep into my SoC with my work commute - they actually seem to be legitimately more efficient. Next vacation, I'll log some towing miles and put together a more complete comparison.

Anyway, I think you made a great choice with the Defenders - I'm confident they'll serve you well. And I'd love to hear about your experiences with them - especially any towing you might do. I'll make a point to share my Bridgestone experiences once I've had time (and miles) to form a more complete assessment of them.

I purchased a set of Firestone destinations. Haven’t had them installed yet. I am at 39k on my factory tires, they have very good even tread wear, I feel like I could get another 3 or 4 thousand miles on them, I’ve been happy with the factory tires and would have just repurchased the Goodyears but I got a big discount on the Firestones.

On this note, gents, we really need to start cashing in tire tread life warranties. Make sure you keep all receipts!
One of the main reasons I only go to discount tire. They have all of that in their system and I never miss out on my warranties going back for more than 20 years now!

Thank you for the you post of the Bridgestones. I am looking to replace my OEM Pirelli tires in the next month. They are at the wear line after only 20k miles. I was also looking at the Micheline Defender LTX Platinum, but I think that the Bridgestone DUELER A/T ASCENT are a better tire for my CT, especially after reading your post and others.

Fact... everyone of us live in different zip codes. Have very different driving styles. Road surfaces. I have about 20k of interstate driving on my original set. Total 35k. Still have half tread left. Noise is a big factor. But it depends on road surface as much as tire profile. When one ask us about our tires, one should say where he live. My Florida roads aren't Michigan.

Agree, more interstate driving, less tight four wheel steering, as turns are slight
Max miles on tires, 55-64K

a lot of local, trail driving, more tight four wheel steering.
Min miles on tires, 20-30K

or an in between mix
30-55K

I expected the range to go up but the opposite has been the case. Caveat I have not driven that far yet and these tires are sticky. I will report back after at least one longer road trip. Love the tires though. Seems quiet compared to the ATs

Just got them installed at Costco. They look awesome! And they ride very well. I can not tell any difference in the road noise from the stock Pirelli's. I will never buy those Pirelli's again after 2 punctures driving on a dirt road.

About 33k on @RedlineRory Cyberbeast on the West coast and I'm a little over 32k on the East coast and actively looking at replacement options right now.

The Michelin Defender LTX Platinum and the Bridgestone DUELER A/T ASCENT were the 2 I was looking at. I picked the Bridgestone's as I have some history with them with my Ford Expedition. They were great. Plus, the Bridgestone's are more aggressive. I plan on off-roading here in Colorado. However, the Michelin's have a longer tread life, 70k vs. 60k, so take that into consideration.
