Possible vandalism Deterrent

Do you think the people doing the vandalism tend to look like snow skiers to you?

Snow skiers are healthy and fit, I would say most of them look more like circus or insane asylum escapees.

Hmmm.... no, they don't have to look at all like skiers; rather, the idea is for them to identify with you, and they don't have to look like you to identify with you.

These people are attacking some abstract notion, because that's all their little brains can comprehend. By adding a little personality that they see all around them, they may feel a little less whatever, that they feel.

Being from Maine, they must know lots of people that ski, and even if they don't, lots of local people aspire to ski. Gives them something positive to think about.

Anyhow, my approach is to not antagonize people further, by posting warning stickers; but rather, for them to realize I'm a real person, that lives in their area, that loves the area, loves the environment and loves to enjoy the environment around them. Hopefully, that'll bring a little sanity to their little angry hearts.

One magnet came today. I have a bunch more coming.

Okay, a week later and I've got enough magnets and stickers for half the back, about 36" of the 72". The PPF is coming tomorrow, maybe.

And I stuck the magnets on the back. Sadly, I lost my Elcy's coffee shop magnet:

I wish some of the charities I support would send me a sticker or magnet! Habitat for Humanity. TeamUSA. FeedAmerica. Friends of Cobbossee. DonorsChoose. Doctors without Borders. AARP. Then some of those old people who have been keying Teslas would realize I'm old too! Maybe I should get a My Other Car is a Subaru sticker?

I agree posting a notice that the vehicle records video could cause those intent on vandalism to mask identity which is worse than if they didn’t. It is surprising that more vandals aren’t aware of it and that’s what gets them caught.

The irony of it all is that if your vehicle is vandalized, you’ll bring it back to the dealer for repair (if you’re not into DIY/buffing/sanding) so ultimately, vandalism to Teslas equates to further financial support of the company the vandals are upset you financially supported. I think are far less verbose line mentioning that might be an effective sticker.

There are no 12v cig lighter outlets in the CT

I use this with my air compressor. The price was higher than most but wanted to ensure I had enough amperage for most anything 12V.

I thought about doing something like this until I realized that all I would be doing is telling them "Cover your face up so they can't identify you".

Nope, if they are idiots and STILL haven't heard about it, then I WANT them to be caught!

Also, I think there's a lot of people out there that would do it just to be recorded (with mask on) or just flipping off your camera's and such... Who needs that...

These are very small, look like factory installed, and are not over-bearing. One under my Windshield Registration sticker, behind the side view mirrors and top left hand corner of tailgate. Won't stop a fanatic but shows the common man that we are paying attention.

Yeah, makes it kinda hard to use the air pump from my old X, not to mention my Garmin backup for long trips?

I use one of these for my radar detector, probably not appropriate for compressor, for that I'd want a 120V adapter or just a 120V compressor.

I use a Ryobi 18v compressor which works great for topping off all 4 tires a quickly and the rear seat air mattress in seconds. I also have a Ryobi car vacuum that is powerful. I keep both with a mini Ryobi battery charger in the frunk.

I have magnets all over mine most days. The kids move them around all the time.

And if you’re wondering, I do worry about vandalism.
I still get flipped off in the bluey truck with three car seats in the back.
Takes a special kind of person I guess.
