Yes, deliberate. What do you think the companies that produce horse drawn carriages though if Henry Ford when he was beginning to produce automobiles?

Oil companies, gas companies, automobile part stores, insurance companies, Ride share companies, aall of them plus many many more have a lot of money to lose if Tesla is successful in all of its endeavors.

Just noticed the rear wheel drive is still listed on website just says available in 2025. Prices were bot raised and they didn’t quietly eliminate the base model. This story needs to be removed and the journalist charged with intentional slander. That is exactly what it is.

So much BS! Let them wait and see what happens when flood gates open for non FS. Cybertruck will simply dominate, and I’m not saying this as a fanboy. I just test drove Cybtertruck today for the first time. The driving experience is out of the world, and it’s way better than my Porsche Cayenne. I thought the body roll would be the same, but boy I was surprised. It’s a Tank that drives like a sports car. Whoever drives a Cybertruck will not go back driving anything else, including other Teslas. It doesn’t matter what media, friends, and Elon haters say. Nothing can override the experiences!
I agree with you on how great the CT is and have been driving it with no issues for over 5 months. For that reason also, I actually hope they don’t diminish the value it should have by pushing out a ton of cheaper base models. Can’t see the CT as a single motor product.

All the pre-order folks are holding out for the cheaper non-Foundation Series
Certainly the lion’s share, and they probably won’t be happy that they are being pushed back even further but that is life.

If MSN wasn't taking millions of dollars from the likes of Ford and GM then MSN would be able to fill thousands of pages of complaints by owners of those vehicles. Since Tesla pays MSN nothing, they attack Tesla. If Tesla starts spending millions on advertising I'm guessing these stories go away. Its all about money IMO. Anyone notice the article they want you to read next at the bottom about the "Tesla Recall- Ongoing Disaster"? Haha. Does it feel like a "disaster" to anyone here?

Jalopnik is just doing it to make money from haters and it works. Lots of EV haters.
I have banned Jalopnik and many other main stream feeds from all my feeds. It's a pleasure to silence them forever.

Electrik also has Elon Derangement Syndrome and I've banned them too.

Jalopnik died MANY years ago, even before elon/electric vehicles. All these sites went political and woke and inject their pet politics into everything and became intolerable shrews a long time ago.

I highly recommend Flipboard and other sites like it that let you tailor your interest and ban corrupt media to your taste. It's highly satisfying banishing them permanently from your own personal existence.

I'm glad you finally got to try out the Cybertruck firsthand.

One thing the Cybertruck haters all have in common is that they have never used the Cybertruck to perform real work. They have never towed a heavy trailer or hauled a big payload, they have never cruised effortlessly over rugged terrain or wound it through a twisty mountain road. They just hate it because it's different, or because they can't afford one for themselves. The hate is pure ignorance.

I read the link with an open mind and I agree on some of it. I like my Model 3 now although it's range is not so good in 75 mph speed limt, so I ordered the AWD based on $79,990 that would qualify for the $7,500 govt incentive reduction. I could stretch my budget at $72,500 which would go close to $80,000 again after all the fees, charges, insurance, and taxes. Paying another $20K was not my plan. I feel I'm taken advantage by Tesla's own shortcomings on it's promised delivery time. My order was not early so I'm willing to wait for my turn. I'd love to drive that CT. I thought the original price and 340 mi range was good enough for me to sacrifice my budget. For now, if I get it at the original price, good, but if not, so be it. I can be loyal to Tesla but if there's a surprise in the horizon, I'll go for it.
What Tesla did by jacking the price up to advance delivery time didn't boost their image to those who are not already Tesla fans like us.
But, I'll wait for next year's news before I'll make a decision as Elon keeps changing his mind anyway. We don't know what future brings.
