Wait... Why are we filling tires with Nitrogen? The air we all breathe is already 78% Nitrogen.
Less pressure change with temperatures with 100% nitrogen. However when I bothered I got 100% nitrogen free. Now I just check my tire pressure 4 time more a year.

Are you mad you didn't think of it or that you can't afford to jump the line? I ordered 1 each for my wife, son and myself. They both have no interest in any pickup truck but are free to change their mind. Believe me life is different for wealthy folks.
Hmmmm, you may want to ease up just a bit, Big Guy. I'm not mad yet. :D

Well my 3 preorders for the Cybertruck are around 27,000. I plan on buying all 3 and asking for a $50,000 markup on the two I sell. Capitalism at it's finest.
I call it as I see it. Sir, you are a corrupt, low-down dirty parasitic scam artist. I, for my part, will never accept more than a $49,000 markup. It's just wrong.

As expected, lightning dealers are asking $10k-$30k dealer markups to complete your purchase. Ford doesn't seem to be too concerned with this practice.

F-150 Lightning Dealers Already Requiring ADM Price Markup to “Prioritize” Order
Something does not add up in the article’s math.

Dealer has over 200 reservations, let’s be generous at 250. 10% is allocated to the dealer, 25 units.

Pay 5,000, non refundable if you do not take order, to prioritize in the list. First come, first served regardless of reservation status. OK, the first 25 Laing 5,000 gets the slot.

So, first 25 pays the 5K agreed markup

But wait, another message, your markup is now 30k and if you don’t want to be the first 25, your markup will be 10k after the 25 are fulfilled.

what’s my markup and deposit again?

This really ticks me off butt if I am being honest I am not at all surprised. I have a reservation for a Lightning too. I planned to buy both the Lightning and CT. I figured there would be a year or two spread between delivery dates so i could enjoy whichever one arrived first while waiting on the next. If this crazy markup is going to be the norm Ford can keep the damn truck and my hundred bucks. They must need it worse than me. I have bought my share of new Fords but no more.
The $100 pre-order deposit on the Ford is refundable. I don't see how they could keep your deposit if they can't deliver the truck at the announced prices so I recommend getting your $100 back if you decide to cancel.

Gotta make a quick $40.95 somehow! It's hard to be a dealer!
The really sad part is they probably didn't even bother to fill them with nitrogen. At best, they just topped them up a little. It's a lot of extra work to do a proper nitrogen fill unless you're already changing the tires to begin with.

And who's going to know, right?

What would you all say if CT will have 20k-30k price increase? Would you bash Tesla same way you do for Ford dealerships?
I know Tesla does not have dealers, but I am pretty sure the price will be increased at least 20%. To be honest, I am expecting my CT 3M to be just a couple of hundreds below 100k out of the door...
You can believe whatever you want, but without Tesla saying they have raised the price, it's all in your head. Tesla has options they can offer to increase the average sales price without jacking up the announced base prices.

That may be true, but it's a real douchebag thing to say.

Markups not covered by insurance. If you total the vehicle you still owe the full amount but insurance only pays you the replacement value. Ouch. Too much risk for me.

Hadn't thought about that but Yikes that could be painful with a $148K pickup. Also, I was wondering how do you get a loan for a vehicle with $50k markup. I would think only the manufacturer takes on that kind of loan.
If you're wondering about the pickup with $50K markup, I'm referring to the TRX that I posted a sticker photo, at the beginning of this thread.
