Was looking for a work vehicle to take advantage of the bonus depreciation and honestly Tesla wasn't initially even a consideration. I was looking at Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover, Cadillac IQ, and for a second even considered a Lambo Urus. I was walking around the mall w the wife and while she was shopping stumbled into the Tesla dealership. They had a CT on the floor and i got into a conversation with the Tesla rep (i dont think they call them salespeople) and he was like "hey just take one for a drive" and hands me the Key card and gives me two minutes of instruction and says be back in 2 hours. First, I have never had an experience like that at a car dealership - no pressure, no BS, just "here's the keys". I have to say i was blow away at the acceleration, the handling and most of all the FSD. I picked up the wife and we rode around and even she loved it. I returned it and told the guy I was going to go look at the other aforementioned cars and he said "why don't u take a Model X to go car shopping" and sets me up with one for the NIGHT!! Who does that? The X DROVE ME to all the other dealers - "take me to the Porsche dealer" (FSD is unreal) and after test driving everything it wasn't even close.

All the other cars were great but the bottom line was they are just different variations of each other (some faster, some smoother, nicer interior) the CT is like stepping into a freaking episodes of the Jetson's. The steer by wire and FSD totally clinched it not to mention the CT seems so much more functional (large bed size, electric outlets, etc). Even the buying experience was amazing as you basically complete the entire process on the app. I took advantage of their 0% financing and the paperwork literally took under 5min. Overall just an amazing experience.

I NEVER thought i would buy a CT (or really any EV) and I am totally addicted to this truck. I have owned some of the highest end models from nearly every brand and this is easily (so far) the best, most fun vehicle I have ever owned. I read a lot about how it is a flop and not selling well and watched all the videos about how the initial quality was not the best but even with all that the truck was so much better than everything else i drove I went for it and am willing to put up with some of the quirks and possible problems that might come with it. MY biggest problem with it is the compulsion I have for buying accessories, I probably have 4-5 packages a day arriving and I think it is confusing our Amazon delivery guy who previously must have only thought my wife lived here. I just can't wait to get it wrapped!!!!

Your pretty much like all of us here, I never drove a Tesla before a CT, and the moment I drove it, it was an epiphany of sorts.. Everything just made sense. Add in the bold looks and vehicle is perfect for my everyday use.

Same as many of us here.

Saw it. Intrigued but traditional and social media says it’s not only a disappointment, but a flop and riddled with issues.

Then we test drove it and realized it‘s far and above better than anything else on the market. Comfortable, quiet, versatile, and fun as hell. It makes other 2025 model year cars feel 15 years old.

Welcome to the family! I'm bookmarking your post to share with others who may be on the fence or have no idea how simple it is to buy a car from Tesla. Most things at Tesla are so different from what you've been accustomed to, but after experiencing it the Tesla way, you often think, "Why wasn't it always this way?"

My brother has a variety of Teslas, but went with the GMC EV truck. It does have some features I like, but the other day he said it needed a software update, and he had to take it into the dealer to get it done. Ugh. I’d really like 400+ miles on a charge, but the other guys are still so far behind in the areas that matter to me.

Honestly, three words keep me from buying/looking at anything else. FSD
The only way I could conceivably buy another EV truck would be if Tesla licenses FSD to them.
And if you don't own a Tesla, you don't/can't understand that.

I am in complete agreement. But his wife has an X and she won’t use autopilot, much less FSD. They have been trying out all the replacement options as it’s getting older but they think they’ll end up back with the X because it ticks more boxes. My brother has the S, had a Lightening for a year and now has the GMC. I’m still loving my Cybertruck that replaced my 3 and my old Chevy truck.

I came from a 2020 audi R8 and a 2020 porsche 911. Those cars are cool but the truck was just so good that it made driving those not as fun. It became just drive them for looks since I wasn't tracking them anymore and didn't want to be too illegal on public roads. At the time the truck was getting more looks than the supercars. Not fishing for looks but it just comes with expensive vehicles. I ended up selling those two and just stuck to the truck for daily and everything driving.

I'm really glad the Tesla reps treated you well, just like they do at higher end dealerships(Porsche, Lambo and even at Audi when shopping for the R8). That's the real way to get people to buy high priced vehicles, treat them like a human, give them the opportunity to experience it and don't hassle them. Try going from a lambo dealership to a ford/chevy/toyota dealership, its hysterical how they treat you different. I showed up one time in the R8, parked around the side of a toyota dealership and tried to test drive a tacoma. They wanted so much info from me before even letting me sit in one. I ended up leaving without buying one or giving them my information.

Welcome to the club, the steering changes how every car will be driven from now on for you!
