$400M Tesla Armored EVs contract is coming from US Government

Looks like mentions of Tesla winning this have been changed to "Armored electric vehicles" which really only leaves the CT from a commercial side but if they compete it out other defense contractors could pursue it, although not sure how it wouldn't be a controversial bid with the current administration. If it's a sole source contract while Musk controls the purse it should drive conflict of interest questions.

so many vehicles related/owned by Governments: be it town, county, municipal, city, State or Fed hardly or never go on road trip or out of it's border-so, does not require big battery at all. Interestingly, Cybertruck hate is it's unique design & intimidating appearance-the more, the merrier and gradually people will learn to love it or ignore it. People may commit petty offense to get a ride in Cybertruck Police vehicles.

procurement forecast is different from awarded the contract. The state put notice out they needed this procurement. Tesla wasn’t awarded the contract under Biden.
