It definitely won't hurt to ease into it, plus he got it for his kids (however I know for a fact he's going to be printing things for the CT while they are sleeping). I started out with "bigger and faster" because I know it's something I'm going to use and totally get into. You are correct, you can easily drop hundreds on accessories and spools - ask me know I know.

I was never looking for a return on investment - sure I could open some Etsy shop and make a small business out of it but that was never my intention. I just wanted a new hobby to learn, something I could also do with my kids and make cool things.
You need to buy one of those ceramic printers and do some all on 4 implants if you’re that into it. There’s a “hobby” that will pay for itself. Not to mention coming directly out of your tax liability basically.
I’m sure you could get someone in a short miniskirt to make a PowerPoint of that math for you by 1400 tomorrow without breaking a sweat.

1000% they would be in my office by the end of the day, miniskirt in 10 degrees outside. If you think a Bambu printer and supplies are expensive, the "Dental Tax" is real. Plus I'm not a fan - yet.... The technology isn't quite there in my opinion, a few more years and they'll get it down to where its better than human made. I've done so many All-on cases, I still prefer to do them manually.

Just got my 3D printer in, did the setup and doing my first print now. I am amazed by this thing. The options are endless and it's super cool to watch once you figure out how the hell to work it.

Here are some 3D prints I made to turn your CT into Rudolph.

1) Nose RudolphsNose.stl
You will need some 2 sided tape to keep it secured to the bumper, but the front holds it down tightly. I recommend "3M Double Sided Tape VHB".

2) Antlers, mounted in the window. CyberAntler_Window_Mount.stl
Any Gel Super Glue will work, I use "Loctite Super Glue Gel Control". The dowels fit tightly (intentionally) so I recommend you assemble them in this order:
a) Insert both dowels on one side first (left or right) and glue only antler ends that are touching.
b) Glue the inside of the other pieces and put them on one at a time, remember to glue the ends that touch.

3) Antlers using roof rack mounts. CyberAntlers_Bracket.stl

Thank you for all of these. I am new to 3D printing and I tried to import the antler stl file into Bambu Studio and it complained that it was too small and asked if I wanted to convert to mm. I did and then the pieces seemed too large for my H2S platform. Can you tell me what the units should be? Thanks!

Converting is fine. The next step is:
1) Right click the figures and "Split> To Objects"
2) Now you can select single pieces
3) Pick a piece and click "Auto Orient" on the top toolbar (its the 3rd icon from the left)
4) Drag that piece somewhere on the plate, repeat for all objects.
5) When the plate fills up you can add more and populate them also.

OR

Go here and most of those steps will be done if you have a Bambu printer: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2077036-cybertruck-reindeer-rudolph-antlers-roof-bracket

Antlers and nose installed. Absolutely love it, but I ran into one small problem - the antlers are too tall to fit into my garage! Looks like I'm parking outside for the rest of the month 🥶🎅

How does it hold up with driving at say 85 mph? Mine are printing now, and I have a 2 hour road trip coming up that I'll be doing 85 mph most of the time. Also what size it the nut for the roof rack mount?

I just put them on last night so I haven't had a chance to road test them above ~45mph yet. I used the nuts that were already on the posts, I believe they are 10mm - at least, that's the socket I used and it fit perfectly. Someone else may be able to confirm.

How did you get the nose to install, I tried under the edge of the front but it is a bit loose. Did you use double sided sticky tape?

I printed both plates (twice) and bought the glue but the MakerWorld explanation for the gluing order was unclear to me. Since it is superglue, and because those dowels are super tight, I want to get it right. Do we glue the left and right sides together and then attach the bottom, middle, and top? Do the bottom, middle, and top also get glued together at the vertical boundaries or is the dowel connection enough (it sure seems like it). Finally, do you have any advice in getting the sides together that isn't just brute force? I'd use vice grips if I didn't think I'd damage the antlers. At the rate I am going I won't have these all put together until next Christmas but they are stunning (sadly. my wife wants me to put balls on the tops because of the sharpness of the antler tips).

Oh, my printer said that there was an error in the .stl for the reindeer nose and I had it fixed with an online tool: https://www.formware.co/onlinestlrepair. If ok, I will post the BambuStudio project on MakerWorld but it is your call since it is your design.

It has a ring of magnets, and a remote controlled light in the middle so I can light it up when I want.

The magnets hold extremely well, it hasn't moved at all. I'll take a picture of the back later today and post it.

Here is how I recommend you assemble it.

Step 1 is assemble 1 side first with both dowels. You only need to glue the ends of the antlers that touch, the dowels dont need glue.

Step 2-4 is add the 3 remaining parts on to the first side, 1 piece at a time. Gluing all the sides that touch (sides and ends)

Pushing in the dowels is a bit tough, I was able to do it pressing together the parts resting on a towel for cushion. I do not recommend a vice grip, it will damage the antlers.

You're welcome to post the nose on MakerWorld.
