Wiper heater isnt really meant for keeping ice from building up, its more to unstick the wiper from the windshield before driving. The only other option is the windshield defroster and wiper fluid. Neither are amazing. Both together are just about adequate to continue with enough visibility that i dont need to pull over and manually clear. Tested this in heavy snow last night. Though, interestingly enough, my headlights did not get blocked.
Everything was on and on Max. I wonder if the wiper heater is not working...

Agree 1000%. There just isn't much to combat build up of snow/ice while driving with CT design and the wiper in a vertical position. The wiper actually may fare better and have less ice build up in a horizontal position while driving especially when high mode of defrost is on. The wiper heater is only good for helping melt what's accumulated while parked. Thankfully it's a limited # of days for us in Iowa that we have to worry about driving while snow is falling.

The build up was while driving. It was a very heavy snow and it was about 18 degrees but, built for any planet? Maybe any planet above 32°

Problem with driving with defrost on is the cabin turns into a sauna with max heat. I wish there was a way to separately turn on vents to the windshield while simultaneously keeping the air blowing at the occupant the set temp. Oh well.

The wiper heater won’t remove that much ice but if you activate it before it builds you won’t get to this point unless the WX is terrible. If I park outside and my wiper builds ice then I lift it a few inches and release. It flops like a wet noodle and breaks most of the ice then the heater takes care of the rest. Bonus if you can do this while driving. One of the pros of the blade sitting vertically.

Well, I'm coming up on 2 years also but I'm going to have a different response this truck cannot be driven in cold weather The wiper is absolutely f****** useless. The PCS should not have went bad.
I also live in MN (like Pulaski), with minus 20 temps lately, and have had NO issues with windshield wiping. Make sure your wiper fluid tank isn't empty -- remember that the front camera also uses up this fluid, and if the fluid tank is empty, it won't wash the windshield. Physics is the Law, everything else is a recommendation - quoting Elon.

It's officially been 2 years since we got our FS CT. Have loved every minute. Don't see myself ever getting rid of it. Tesla sent the following message for feedback:

It’s been -7 degrees three nights and 20” of snow and I don’t have a garage. FSCB has been great in the snow and sleet and cold for me. Almost 1 & 1/2 years and all I’ve had to do is rotate the tires so I could be happier. Amazing to walk out from 68 degree house for 11-15 steps and get into a 70 degree cyber beast and tell it where to go and it takes me there!
