No, it is not a lot.

It’s not the miles, it’s the cycles. And the MV battery gets cycled constantly.

While many Tesla owners have needed to replace their battery, even the lithium-based ones, I would expect them to last several years.

If your CT is only 1 1/2 years old they are claiming out of warranty due to millage? I think I read the millage warranty is 50,000 and so if you are say at 58,500 miles I would think they would try and work with you some.

I wonder what type of control module failed? A module responsible for charging? Obviousily, a module that allows you to drive 100ft from your driveway before the truck realizes something is wrong.

Tesla needs to hurry up and offer their extended service warranty subscription to CT… I have 15k miles before my warranty is up.

I just mentioned maybe they would help a bit if close to the warranty mileage. I would call it good customer service which several have posted here to say Telsa is very good about doing the right thing.

Also there is a profit in that estimate after the labor and parts cost. So if they even just cut that out it would I am sure be really appreciated.

It's not like 65SoYoLO has 99,000 miles on it.

But maybe I am wrong and his SC and staff are by the books types.

I had similar situation and it was a rat chewed down the low voltage wires. My truck was dead after a few minutes when all the errors showed up. Towed to service center and they reconnected one wire and everything back to normal.
