Anyone knows how to make the squircle go “limp” on purpose?

I know it does this occasionally when it disengages the steer by wire, I just can’t figure out when or how. I was installing a sew-on squircle cover and while doing the top part, it disengaged. I find it so much easier when it’s “limp.” But then it re-engaged again and I tried to replicate it by turning off the truck but no luck.
I just proceeded to finish the install as is though it took a little longer.

so how hard was this to sew into place? I saw these and was interested in the many many many options but the sewing threw me off.

has anyone found any “clip on” or “stretch on” products?

Given how (poorly) the factory material on the steering wheel on my Model3 has held up over 4 years... I have questions in preparation for my own CT:

1) Who makes this?
2) How bad (if any) does it interfere with the heated steering wheel?

Easiest way is to start Beach Buggy Racing 2 - it uses the squircle as a controller, so it detaches from physical control when you launch it
Tnx, I’ll try that.

It takes some patience to sew it. I think it took me a couple of hours. But I’m not a pro at this, my first actually. I had to google the how and recommended patterns.

I haven’t seen a slip-on cover for CT.

1. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FRQB9HYP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

2. Honestly I never had the need or use the heater before the wrap so I can’t say how much is the difference. I turned it on and still feel the heat but I have no baseline for it’s effectiveness.
