My bed divider fits over a mat. Do you have one of the early ones from Tesla? I believe there were people who had success getting them to send them the revised version.
what’s the issue with the spare? Should be able to still get at the D-rings no?

Not feeling confident since the last time I was in a few months ago they refused my request to rotate my tires after a year saying it was not needed (had ~7,500 miles on the truck). Except the one year service basically has nothing other than rotate tires. Who knows.

Why am I not surprised they said that. I mean I guess they have a point, some of the original dividers didn't even fit without a mat except certain parts of the bed where it was a bit wider. Is rotating your tires something included with the truck or something you pay for? If you're paying for it why would they care?

I assumed I would be paying. There are no years of included service that I'm aware of. Not sure why they refused other than it was quite busy. Truck sat for 2-3 days before they even got to it but even then, how long does a tire rotation take? 15 minutes? And I'd pay them for the time.

That's why I asked the question - I know the luxe package has some service and I think that's included, but if you're paying for it I don't see why they would refuse.

I own 4 trucks. 2 are Fords, 1 is a Gladiator, and the CyberTruck. All have spray in bed liners (except the CT for obvious reasons). I have had spray ins on every truck I have previously owned which includes another F350 and 2 Ram trucks. They all had spray in bed liners. The spray ins have been bullet proof and only once screwed mine up by doing something stupid. But the nice thing is, if you screw it up, you take it to Linex and they will repair it for $75. They take a beating and you can make them look like new by spraying some 303 on it. I would love to have a spray in for the CT.

Drop ins suck. All my buddies who have them end up scratching the crap out of them and they usually end up rusting underneath. Replacement cost on them can be costly as well. They can’t take the beating like sprayins can. The CT is close to a drop in from a material perspective and I have to be ultra careful so as not to mar it up too badly. It should have been spray in from the start from Tesla.

As for doing both… that’s just stupid. That’s like buying a plastic screen protector for your gorilla glass phone screen. Pure waste of money and it does nothing. People who own trucks would laugh at you.

Getting the spray to effectively stick to the plastic in the bed may be a challenge. Someone did it in these forums and I would be interested in the longevity. Usually it’s sprayed on metal. I’m not sure the strength of it being sprayed on plastic will be durable. That’s just an observation and probably needs those who have had it done it to offer up if it’s lasted.

Short answer from a lot of real-world users: extra cushion, less rattle, better grip, and a sacrificial layer that keeps your spray-in from getting gouged when you chuck sharp or heavy stuff.

Extra cushion? It's a truck bed!
Less rattle? My bed already doesn't rattle. Is this a problem?
Better grip? After over 40 years of using trucks with painted steel beds, painted aluminum beds, spray-in bed liners and plastic tub bed liners I have come to the conclusion that the stock bed in the Cybertruck has the perfect amount of grip, never too slippery to walk on, even in the rain on a steep driveway, but not so rough or grippy that I can't slide all kinds of cargo in with an easy push.

I also don't understand people who worry about scratches in a truck bed. Really? That's just the mental illness talking. Scratches in the bed of a truck from normal use don't even impact the resale value, because sane people simply don't care.

The best part is no part and the Cybertruck comes ready to haul cargo out of the gate. Liners just reduce the height of the cargo that fit under the tonneau and prevent access to the bed tie down D-rings. If the liner has holes cut to access the D-rings then it's not much of a liner, is it! Women use panty liners because they menstruate. Trucks don't menstruate, no liner needed!

But if one liner is good, then wouldn't two liners be even better? You know, to protect the under-liner from scratches. Because scratches in my truck bed would keep me up at night

Honestly, there are loads I don't want directly in my bed, sand comes to mind. I simply line it with a tarp with no holes. bed liners need holes to access the tie downs so I would still use a tarp to haul a load of sand or other messy loads (like manure).

TPE bed mat has its place. I never leave Costco without spending 800. Every time id open the tonneau shot would be scattered as usual with my driving, now with the TPE mat it stays in place. Neat.

carried several loads of dirt, several tons for yard Reno. Went to clean out smugglers bay, no dirt, no dust. No marring from rocks or shovel. Neat, next project.

had 80 cinder block, stacked well, unloaded, inspected bed. No scratch. Clean the debris? Pulled it out, kicked off all the grit, slid it back in. Done. Neat. Next project.

Has carried load of fitness equipment for my clinics, heavy equipment that is very heavy in a small foot print.

Bed looks new, mat looks original. Easy clean.

Probably the best $60-80 spent on this truck, besides tint. can’t remember it’s negligible.

now I have money for more dirt. Yay
