Lots of support for a large SUV out there. Personally I don’t see the need for more than 5 seats. I start having trouble getting more than 4 chicks at once. The rest of you must be doing something right.
The problem is once you are successful with one, they begin to reproduce.

Was looking at this one which seems to resemble yours.

And this one which looks like it’s a more pliable material and intuitively might seal better

Any advice? What made you go for the textured/corrugated option?
that’s left over from my doors. So I just used what I have.

the non textured ones will look better but it might be too soft to make a tight seal on the glass

Is there a product you use to keep water/weather/dust out of your tonneau? Going across my ranch it's filled with dust in seconds.
With the tonneau closed are rivets visible at the back side? This is a common problem with many Cybertrucks. It allows water and dust enter the bed.

Check your truck…if you have rivets showing, your tonneau is too short. There is a fix for it. Tesla will add extra slat section to the tonneau. Tesla will fix it ONLY if you ask for it and let them know of the water/dust issue.

Once I had my Tonneau “fixed” I have no issues.

To answer the OP question.
1) I think TESLA dropped the ball by not utilizing the center area between the two front seats with some nice features, such as power ports, USB-C ports, etc. Maybe a small fridge.
2) Back window that can be opened! Safety features can prevent accidents while closing. With a sliding rear window, you can run heat or AC to the Cybertent or while camping and sleeping in the back.
3) Rear Camera that would rotate to show rear view with the back hatch open. Right now you are blind and the camera only shows the road while driving with a load that requires the rear hatch open. Rear camera is completely useless in rain or snow as it gets obscured easily…need a better design or location.
4) Speaking of the back hatch.. with the current design, you can open the hatch into an object (wall, post, obstruction). The new design could incorporate a proximity sensor with a pop up notification letting you know of “possible damage to the rear hatch if opened.”
5) Love for software update to show the rear camera AND the side camera when blinkers are selected..I like to be able to see behind me also, for situational awareness with the blinkers on.

Nice, got any pics of it? Keep us updated on the results..
I had the foam backer rod inserted in the tonneau’a weather seal. I ran the truck on a dusty offroad mountain fire road and it kept the dust and dirt out. Whole truck is covered in dust.

I took the truck to the automatic car wash and water did not get in, except for a few drops on the left edge of the tailgate. So far the backer rod fix works to keep dust and water out near the tailgate.

with the door edge guard applied in the aero flaps and the backer rod in the tonneau weather seal, I can say my truck’s bed is 99% sealed.

Dust is not from the tonneau. It is the gap between bed and tailgate. You can seal that using automotive weatherstripping. Care has to be taken to also seal the bed and smugglers bay. Once that is done, dust leaking around the tonneau is minimal.

#1 and it would be enough to part me with my money. 50% Larger battery capacity. Put the range estimate at 450+ miles when empty so I can tow 180 miles on one charge at speed limit. With current battery I use 70 to 80% of the battery and no trailer on the trip.
below are welcome upgrades.
Larger frunk. One large enough to fit a 120 quart cooler (20.5” tall x 18.5” deep)
Redesigned sun visors that will block the sun glare that leaks in around the front camera housing.
Frunk 120v power plug.
Full size Spare tire storage space

I did the foam backer rod too, just haven't water tested it, but its pushing pretty hard so I'd assume it has a good seal to the tailgate. It's pushing so hard I can actually see it move the tailgate out slightly when I close the tonneau.

- Integrated Starlink option
- Quieter motors without high pitched annoyance
- Less harsh suspension
- Usable compressor on board (bonus if it doesn't randomly run loudly for long periods of time)
- Integrated solar charging that's strong enough to maintain the battery level while running sentry mode
- Bed weatherproofing/pass-thru/climate control
- Better cameras that don't think they have "Limited visibility" whenever they see the sun
- A camera above the bed. No rear camera with the tailgate opened is lame.
- A proper digital rearview mirror
- 500 mile Silverado like range
- Ability to drive in higher ride heights above 25mph
- Get rid of cheap plastic flares/bumpers
- I can think of a ton of software stuff, but that can be OTA'd

yup, it pushes the tailgate a little bit so there’s a good seal. Little leaking on the sides where the weather seal ends which I’m ok with. Pretty good seal with dust too.

Would take an awful lot to make upgrading the truck worthwhile. 500mi range, quad motor, augmented reality windshield, etc. A lot of the suggestions I see here are already possible with minor/inexpensive modifications. 12V is just a buck converted away anywhere you can get 48V, there are aftermarket rear camera washers, etc. I'm waiting for somebody to release a digital mirror that taps the rear camera view and let's you adjust what part of the rear image ends up on the mirror.
