First, $100M is chump-change for the C-suite.

Second, the stock doubled in 90 days due to "irrational exuberance", making it a good time to cash out. I sure did!

I agree it's "not a positive signal" that TSLA could hit $800 anytime soon, but was anybody really thinking that? The PE is not grounded in reality, and there's a significant disconnect between the success of the company and the performance of the stock.

But that doubling happened months ago, not within the last month it’s been all downside in the last month.

This is not a sign of confidence in the near term. Nor would there be any reason for that confidence.

Zero people, not even the most bullish bulls are predicting anything positive in the near term.

I’ve sold nothing, I’m holding. But irrational exuberance has defined this stock for quite some time. I expect the ride to be rough for a good while.

Here's a chart summarizing TSLA insider trading over the past 6 months. The blue bars indicate insider buying, the red bars indicate insider selling.

Details about every transaction are available at the source link. The sellers include Kimball Musk (Elon's brother), who is on the Board of Directors.

People in those positions are required to report their intent to sell months in advance (isn't it like 6 months?) so when they sell, it's probably completely unrelated to the current state of affairs.
That is true for many, but not all, of the sales. For example, Tesla's Chief Financial Officer, Vaibhav Taneja, made a deliberate decision to sell earlier this month:
Tesla published an SEC filing informing investors Taneja sold another $718,000 in shares on Thursday, bringing his total over the past 90 days to just over $8 million.

Unlike chair Robyn Denholm’s far larger stock sale this week, however, this one was conducted outside of a 10b5-1 trading plan.

In other words, rather than a broker independently determining the timepoint of a sale without the insider having any direct knowledge, Taneja actively chose to sell shares at the current market price.
The CFO should know more about Tesla's financial situation than anyone.

most of the people think they're "investors" but buy/sell stock on moods-moods based on Noise! If the company's Fundamental is strong it's buy, buy & buy. Hence, majority of the 'investors' panic when it's Green and Panic when it's Red. Do you Panic both ways-then Buckle up. :ROFLMAO:

So I had to look this up, as I couldn't remember it. But basically under the rule 10b5-1 insiders like the CFO in question aren't allowed to sell quicker than 90 days. Often they setup a plan where shares are being dumped periodically at a greater period of time too, which may look like they're selling faster than after 90 days but that's because the intent was made public way in advance.

Consider the source also as ABC News (aka Disney). Words like controversial Dept of DOGE, its not and everyone acts like he has all this power, he has none other than to point out what is found, he can't fire people or change policy. These protesters have no idea what they are talking about, its a mob clear and simple and the media is stoking the fire every chance they get. Just like when the feds say "We are heading into a recession!" guess what happens, power of the words.

EM should pick his words, and salutes, more carefully, if he cares about Tesla
