EM should pick his words, and salutes, more carefully, if he cares about Tesla
I am sorry you are not a history buff to know the difference between waving to the crown and the Nazi salute. Hit did not snap his heels, stand to attention, and draw his arm straight up from his side and yell "Heil Hitler " Which for the uninformed that salute of having your hand straight out and arm up at 50° is how we as Americans saluted our flag and recited the pledge to allegiance, prior to ww2, please look it up, it amazing how history is forgotten. I even asked my Father years ago about that since he was a WW2 vet and born in 1924. So not fake news like todays outlets.

waving to the crown, oh really? Pledge of allegiance was changed DUE to nazi’s using the gesture. What are your sources? You need a bib because whoever is feeding you info is making a mess.

He did the salute poorly, yes. Like any non-military civilian acting militarily.

And I’m from a military family whom all do not approve of the gesture.

I watched the salute 40 times as a Tesla customer, attempting to give EM the benefit of the doubt. I do not subscribe to any news media. This is my conclusion. EM response is lacking and unapologetic.
Bye

and before you respond, if; EM has been most political recently, obviously it’s not just the salute that is impacting Tesla. EM has picked a partisan path and we are pawns dealing with the aftermath. He is losing customers regardless at this point. I hope this is part of his plan

Well That's you Opinion and lack of information, and since I can't load pictures here out of books here is the Wiki Page that has just one of the pictures I have seen, not the only one more example to follow that backs up my claim and not just political based web pages, actual historical proof.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellamy_salute

It states this picture is from 1941, looks at the clothes, still doubt?

Hearts, Not Hitler (1942)
With the growing concerns about American citizens’ being mistaken for Nazi sympathizers, the Bellamy salute was officially done away with in December of 1942. Congress passed an amended Flag Code decreeing the Pledge of Allegiance “should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.” from article in link below.

And that's all I found in less than 10 minutes of looking, care to repent your statement now? I am guessing not because this is why I don't argue politics, because people just take what fed to them and move on. Sorry but I hate mis information as my wife will tell you and if I am wrong I admit it. To bad I rarely find that in others. So I said my peace here, and the information to back it up weather you choose to close your eyes to it or not.

But that doubling happened months ago, not within the last month it’s been all downside in the last month.

This is not a sign of confidence in the near term. Nor would there be any reason for that confidence.

Zero people, not even the most bullish bulls are predicting anything positive in the near term.

I’ve sold nothing, I’m holding. But irrational exuberance has defined this stock for quite some time. I expect the ride to be rough for a good while.
It hasn't been ALL downside I bought a few more shares when it went down to $215 on the 10th (after hours)... Brought my cost basis up to $170 now... (had a lot of shares at $149.50 from last April)

But selling a few weeks ago (the board members) was a smart thing to do, it was $368.43 when Kimbal Musk sold some... most of the SALES were in February...

Cantor Fitzgerald is 'Bullish' on TSLA and so is RBC and Canaccord... They are, combined, showing a 65.24% implied upside... That's pretty darn good if you asked me!

Besides, as investors know, the market is best for LONG TERM growth... That is what is important and Tesla will continue to come out with innovative products for at least the next 3 years... (IMO)

Oh come on now... Have you also seen how many FAKE videos there are of him saying and doing all sorts of things? From promoting products he would NEVER promote to speeches he has never made all the way to the 'Free bitcoin' ones where he promises to 'double your purchase' and such?

There are sooooo many fake accounts on Facebook that it's rediculous! I try and take a moment to 'report' them because, after all, he has said MANY TIMES that he does NOT post there and in fact only uses X.com for his postings... where he can actually CONTROL the account(s) both real and fake (he/someone eliminates them quickly)...

As to his 'salutes'... Just how many do you think he did? Yep, just the 2... Want to know how many OTHER people have done the same/similar looking 'salutes'? Pelosi - 6 times... AOC - 10 times!! Hillary - 8 times...

SO WHAT!! They weren't SALUTES... They were WAVES!! People will grab ahold of anything these days... You know, like the CONTINUING articles saying Tesla's catch fire if you go to the car wash?!?! Or that so and so is coming out with a battery that's TWICE as good as Tesla's and it will be out next year! (been hearing that one for about 5 years now)

It's all cow patty if you asked me... Spread by people who don't like him because (you pick: he's RICH, he's TOO rich, he's a racist, he hates jews, he hates muslims, he hates christians, he pays his workers min. wages, he won't unionize, his cars are too much money, MSNBC says he is racist, he doesn't care about anyone but himself and so on)...

??????????????????????

Where are you going with this, you are way off course with this discussion.

You posted initially that EM salute is nothing more than a “wave to the crown”, or as benign as the pledge of allegiance.

I responded that the pledge was changed due to its association with nazism, because of what it represents.

you then tell me the same thing, with all your links, like you taught me something that wasn’t in the initial post, like it matters at all to the convo. I’m not debating the pledge of allegiance here please.

People in those positions are required to report their intent to sell months in advance (isn't it like 6 months?) so when they sell, it's probably completely unrelated to the current state of affairs.
It’s 100% unrelated. If they were able to dump on a dime it would be insider trading.

crickets ....
No source it’s my opinion, I sold all my shares only to buy more at $240
what did you pay for the ones you sold and at what price did you sell? Predicting highs and lows and buying back in -wash rinse repeat - is a tough especially with black swan events - Congratulations....and be careful sometimes viruses appear -wash rinse repeat-
