Most of the media I see on off-road or snow performance show poor cybertruck performance. There are some positives from TFL as a follow up when lockers became available off-road. Otherwise have not seen much including Shorts, YouTube, TikTok, reels etc. The only positives I’ve seen on performance are 0 to 60 launches mostly cyberbeasts.

Would be cool to see a listing of what you’re seeing or filming that shows the real capability.

I agree, there doesn’t seem to be enough positive and successful off-roading content out there. Out of spec has one but it’s a ton of talking inside the cabin, wish there was more exterior footage. I look forward to some more videos made by folks who are a bit more enthusiastic and serious vs just trying to get clicks and spewing negativity.

I don’t think you’re going to. The truck has become toxic. Influencers aren’t going to get clicks unless they’re slamming it and many of these guys don’t have any business driving around in the snow in the first place. Dirty Tesla could do it but he’s only interested in making FSD videos and even he is complaining about how it’s completely incompetent and dangerous in the snow (fsd not the truck)!

Most influencers don't wheel. Wheelers don't have time to make videos, we're too busy wheelin. CT beats every Jeep and 4x4 I've owned in 30 years (not with ~$50k mods; that wouldn't be fair comparison). Caveat- articulation sucks, as with any independent suspension vehicle. Not for the most extreme wheelin, It will never be a built Jeep or custom buggy on the rocks. But for most situations, even pretty hairy ones, lockers make up for it. CT goes places my lifted but otherwise stock Gladiator could not, more quietly and comfortably. Bonus-no pinstripes bushwhackin! Overland/Baja modes are great, depending on terrain. For the snow, or mud, your best friend is new tires. That makes more difference than anything. Have fun!

Sorry but I have to disagree, I love by Beast, but my mostly stock (2” lift 35” tires) wrangler X 2 door will go places the cyber truck wouldn’t dream of going. It’s just too heavy, too long, doesn’t articulate for rock climbing. But I do mostly heavy rock climbing here in the Rockies where the trails are pretty tight, but even some of trails in Moab I wouldn’t take my CB on. Don’t get me wrong, I love the truck, and it’s quite capable in snow, and the more I drive it in snow the more comfortable I’m getting with it. But off-roading machine it is not.

To be more specific, I’m not referring to rock crawling in Jeep trails. It is a full-size pick up and not many are set up for that, including offerings by Ford ram and Chevy, what I am referring to is deep snow, Baja, terrain you may see a TRX or raptor in. But it being winter with all the snow seeing all the footage of it spinning on the flat public street is a bit annoying as I have had it quite significantly worse conditions with snow tires and know that it is extremely capable, for some reason not represented though.

Yep, sounds like exactly what’s going on. I’ve got a fun loose dirt area near a lake not far from my home and Baja mode has been a hoot there. It definitely seems very capable.

Even the A/S tires are fine in packed snow. Probably ok in at least 18" of light fluffy stuff, too. Ice isn't fun in anything, not unless you have studded tires or ice spikes.

That's for drivers that learned to drive in snow and have a gentle touch (which can make even a RWD without antilock or traction control manageable). Those that never did, would be near panic no matter what they were driving.

You are so right! I’ve taken it elk hunting and it handles similar to a Jeep Gladiator. Very similar wheel base between the two, and right, the articulation on the CT is limited, but the air lift makes up for that in most situations IMHO. I’ve taken it places that my old 4x4 could not go. And not having pinstripes is freakin’ phenomenal! Icing on the cake! And when you are done, she transforms back into a pavement princess, making an awesome daily driver or road trip vehicle. I just love this vehicle! Nothing ticks so many sweet spots!

I am in Canada and have driven it on 10" of snow without any problems. I have winter tires on my Cyberbeast though, you need the right equipment, as I would on any truck.

Yeah I don't have any problems in snow, and the chains are about 5 minutes per side if I am slow.
I do have the Duratrac as well. Handles just fine. I do have fun with the truck.

Probably not going to make a video of it however. I am sure a video telling how great it is would touch thousands, and change the hearts and minds of many.

Sorry, the media gets more clicks by selling doom than rainbows. There can be a landslide of positive things to say, but if 1 thing goes wrong that's the major headline. Especially now with all the Elon stuff. They won't let him leave the spotlight and he won't as well.

Every truck is going to be good or bad, I don't think there's a truck on the planet that can do everything. True wheelers modify their vehicles so they can go farther, faster, better, break less.

I agree I have had Jeeps for over 25+ years anything from CJ to JK still have my 2007 JK Rubicon. I think the CT will going anywhere the jeep will (If it fits, I mean it is wider than jeeps :) ). The Snow although I have not had deep snow yet, but its way more sure footed than the jeep. I have only felt it slip so far on clear ice at a corner, which is expected with any car. I have even tried to drift it and it won't do it. :)

I was never willing to trade comfort on the road for the capability off-road offered by a jeep. So I have never owned one. But everything that you’re saying about Jeep here applies to the comparison between my Cybertruck and my FJ cruiser.

And I would put my FJ Cruiser similarly equipped up against any Jeep out there that isn’t an extreme purpose built crawler. Outside of some slightly larger than stock KO2s my FJ is nearly stock and there’s not much that I asked you to do that it couldn’t. Did have a deep snow situation but I blame that on the tires.

My CB is far more sure footed, way more powerful, way more comfortable, laughably superior technologically and so on. Other than some UI and range complaints it’s nearly perfect for me.

But you know what my FJ isn’t? An easy target for other people‘s projected hatred. There are only two reactions to my FJ: absolute gushing love and admiration or indifference. Never hate.
