I know simple steel wool keeps them from climbing into the house next to pipes but not sure if it would hold up in the CT around seals.
TY'have you had this problem with your Model Y?

They get in through the wheel well and then up into the space by the air filter. I had to have the main wiring harness on my truck replaced last year because of rodent damage. Apparently the wires have soy coating which they like to eat.Took a month to get a new harness to a local service centre. I picked up a bottle of rodent spray deterrent, and I spray that shit all over the inside of the wheel well around the shocks. Not sure how effective it is, but haven't had anything climb in there this year… Knock on wood!

No. We park it in the garage and haven't seen rodents here. We live in a fairly rural part of Maryland on a couple of acres. We have seen raccoons, foxes, squirrels, a pair of skunks, deer, rabbits, and somebody's pet cat. But, no mice.

How many of these have you purchased to kill 100+ mice?!
It says that you dispose of the $100+ device after you’re “done” with holding “up to 10 mice”!
No, the tray holds up to ten dead mice (yes I've had that many at once). You just empty the tray and put in new "C" batteries and off you go again. I use mine outdoors, I just make sure they are protected from rain/snow.

I like that it's a super quick/humane kill and you never have to touch the mice.

I had the same thing happen on my Jaguar F-Type. Rodents chewed though a couple engine harnesses causing 3k worth of damage.

Like others have said it’s due to the soy based harnesses that are more eco-friendly. The Jaguar dealer ended up wrapping my harnesses in Honda Rodent Tape. Never had any problems after that.

Oh good. I was thinking the most expensive way. Haha

Thanks for all the awesome responses all. The obvious first step which we all agree on is keeping mice out of the garage and eliminating the ones that get in.

I can't imagine there are that many access points to the truck. I wish it was easier to identify what these points are, because then we could find ways to seal them better. Where's the Tesla tech when you need one? Lol

Wait! Let me respond too!

This is a serious issue. I had a Toyota Highlander that a mouse went and chewed up a wiring harness. Cost me over $2k in damages.

Just last week I had an oil change done on my F350 and they found rodent nests in both the air filter and the cabin filter. My brand new F150 had the foam engine cover chewed up by pack rats 2 days after I bought it.

It was war. I placed 8 bait traps with Tomcat poison around the house and shoved poison in the engine bay of my vehicles. In about 3-4 days the rats were all dead. I’m still working on the mice.

Luckily my CT is parked in a heated garage and haven’t issues with that one (yet).

One got in under the frunk in my Juniper. I didn't know until I took out the frunk tub to install a soft close kit. Found all the insulation made into a nest and smelled like animals. I cleaned it out as best I could and put one of those peppermint oil metal tins inside where it was at. I better do it to the Cybertruck too.
