Snow, freezing rain and a couple hard rains, dry so far. Also washed it once and rinsed with pressure washer.

87xxx VIN.

I’m aware of the issues but have not laid in the bed to have someone run water with a hose on it. When a cap similar to a solid sided aluminum truck cap or utility cap with toolbox sides becomes available, I want to cover the entire bed as all my trucks have been.

I'm glad to report no wetness whatsoever in pouring rain. I transported a bunch of clothes and books (helping parent move).

i got a 2-year lease because i want a beast and they didnt have any in the pipeline, so our deals will be slightly different. this is my 3rd tesla so i got the 1K loyalty credit, 6500 incentive and fsd transfer. i got 500 dollars also for a .. ahem.. referral.. ;-). i got the 2.9 apr or whatever tesla was offering. ordered halloween day. got the AWD ct with beast wheels on 3 dec.

i too was a day one reservation holder for the 70k tri motor, but was going to wait until the "2nd version" to get the bugs out. wasnt in a rush to be "one of the first", finally i feel confident to get one now -- was going to wait until march 2026 but jumped on the deal tesla had.
So what happens to the FSD when your 2-year lease is up? Would they allow another transfer to another lease or purchase?

I got an early December AWD 2026 myself.
What kind of deal did you get? I'm thinking I'm an outlier because I got the best deal on a new CT I have seen on these boards and elsewhere.
I placed an order September 30th to qualify for the 7500 EV credit, delayed delivery until early Dec (because I was dithering between the CT and the Lucid Gravity), got a new 2026 build, got 0% APR, got 1 year free supercharging, got $500 heroes discount, got $1000 loyalty discount, got FSD transfer. That wasn't all. When I showed up, the truck was full of rail dust which I didn't know was a thing. I got pissy, so they polished every single spot off (and I mean every single one). Damn thing was showroom quality at the end. I only knew about rail dust when I saw other CTs getting serviced. I'm now a firm believer in the saying "squeaky wheels get the grease."
beat you by $500 heroes discount i received was $1000 but same deal

Got the same, except $1000 Lyft credit instead of first responders, plus an extra $250 referree credit. But I didn't get a 2026 build. Didn't matter to me anyhow. Wanted to get/drive it sooner than wait around. There will be 2027's eventually.

End of September was the best time to buy thus far. It was hard to keep track of all the incentives then.

What's the draw for 2026, versus 2025 and or demo's? I've been considering getting a demo to save a few grand on what otherwise seems to be an identical truck. I want to make sure I am nto missing something.
I am sure the battery cells will get upgraded to the newer stuff later this year, and I have no doubt HW5 will roll out in 12 to 14 months, but none of that applies to anything being built today.
I wanted to get a demo for a few hundred dollars saved but glad I didn't. Some might be good, others get abused. The one I wanted was really low mileage but that meant it sat on a showroom and had a lot of traffic on the seats, or SA said it could have been a refused delivery due to a problem that needed to be fixed.

Search demo here and you'll see pictures of one that was covered in mud underneath, in the wheels, etc.

Yes, but the $1000 heroes discount was for first responders only, and then only if you took delivery by September 2025, meaning you didn't get a 2026 CT (?) Q4 was when $500 discount expanded to a few more groups.
Essentially, I got both Q3 and Q4 promos and 2026 model.
Q3: $7500 EV, 0% APR, 1 year FUSC, $1K loyalty, FSD transfer.
Q4: $500 heroes (which was only available to first responders in Q3 at $1K).

i replied in the thread about the cover leaking. ive got a 26 AWD CT. ive got 3 tesla bins, an anker solix c2000 gen 2 power box and a naked gl-x3000 cell gateway router attached to the tesla divider. LA had two heavy rain events a couple weeks ago -- the truck bed was completely dry. im confident tesla corrected these issues with leaks back there...

i lose it. i knew this going in so wasn't a problem for me. now i see you cant purchase anymore so im cool paying a yearly sub for it, just like i do for premium connectivity...
Do you keep fsd if you purchase the vehicle at lease end?

I took delivery in dec middle of decemeber(but ordered on 9/31) and get everything but also a demo discount on a rwd so yeah. I took the .99 for 72 months instead of the 0% for 60 months. I got the free supercharging and =

I think the additional warranty that is in the 2026 and later makes getting a 2026 worth it. I’m just hoping the have the PCS issue resolved in the latest version

For sure. At this point I wouldn't get a 2024 or 2025. End of this year I'd start only looking at 2027s. That should bring further refinements.

Well I have a foundation beast vin 00034x. I’m a little concerned but it is the price I paid for early adoption. It did have an issue where it would only charge with superchargers. Took it in and the resolved with a software update.

The earlier you get it the more you get to enjoy it!

So the 2026 AWD range is? When do y’all think they will make one with at least 350 miles of range. Had a 23 X that couldn't make a 250 mile commute going very conservative on speed. Winter was terrible probably got around 240 miles with temperatures in the 30s or below

I’ll add my name to the list. I am a day 1 reservation holder that was holding out for as long as possible for mainly a battery improvement but also initial bugs.

Placed my AWD order 1/14/26 due to the announcement of ending upfront FSD. Stated window was 3-5 weeks at the time. Haven’t heard any update since then.

While I’m not terribly concerned this would disqualify me from the upfront FSD purchase, since I have it listed on the official purchase agreement, I was reasonably expecting a delivery before Feb 14. Seeing reports here, I’m not so confident anymore.

Also, huge fingers crossed that the delays going on right now are because they’re implementing those new batteries.
