Where did you pull power for your radar detector? I have a Radenso but I'm thinking about switching to a V1G2.
That I pulled from up inside the housing where someone was selling on Amazon these taps that then lead to a 20" wire ending in the RJ-11 style jack for the radar detector. Why on Earth a radar detector made in 2024 is still using RJ-11 is beyond me. I am contemplating a USB-C splitter and drawing power from the same place the mirror gets it.

Just saw Landshark's reply and yes that's the same wire I used and tapped in at the white connector up above the mirror.

Where did you plug in the pins?
if you are using Hansshow mirror, just tap power from the wires which supply power to the mirror,

you can also use "Quick Solderless T Tap Connector"

it look like this

As this is a CyberTruck forum, my question more specifically is which exact spot inside the mirror housing of the CyberTruck did you plug in the pins?

I did it on a Toyota which has digital rear view mirror. I used a multimeter to test voltages of wires. Typicall, red is 12v black is ground. Yellow is constant 12v even the car is off.

I will work on my cybertruck once I get digital rear view mirror

sorry I couldn’t be more help. Buy a multimeter. It is cheap.

Sorry thought I answered this above. Inside the triangular housing above the mirror there is a white connector with two wires going through it. There is a video on this site I ran across last year of someone installing an Escort radar detector using that wire from Amazon and tapping in at that white connector so that is what I did. Seems to provide the power needed and shuts off when the truck is off. If I can find that old topic thread or video I will link it in.

Why does anyone need a rearview mirror? I took mine off the first day bsck in November when I picked up the truck/ never missed it and I have a back up camera and a large screen already built into the truck. Waste of money and wiring work.

Sigh....

I think this has been mentioned before but there are several reasons, let's see what I can recall off the top of my head:

1) Ability to see behind you when at a light and turning left or right.
2) Ability to see behind you when the tailgate is down
3) Ability to see behind you when the tailgate camera lens is dirty
4) Ability to see what is in the bed of your truck or mounted to crossbars
5) Ability to see a wider field of view
6) Ability to see with more clarity at night
7) Ability to see a larger image in a more natural location which then frees up your main screen to show maps, FSD, etc.

There are probably more, but that's a few off the top of my head, and this is coming from someone who has driven without a rear view mirror at all for the last year +. Whether or not any of those reasons are worth it to you is of course a personal choice, but there ARE reasons to consider such a product.
