At 6251 miles the H speed rated tire on the Cyberbeast is down to 5/32 and 4/32 with irregular degradation.

Got my Cyberbeast on June 25th. Truck has always been driven ONLY on streets and highways. Never taken off road. Never hit top speed of 132 mph. Yes did experience the beast mode and 0 to 60 in 2.6 a few times.
Yesterday I was going to go to get tires rotated as recommened in the manual at 6250. Truck is a t 6251 miles AND.... I noticed tread is low.

I measured it. 5/32 on rears and 4/32 on fronts. WOW! That's insane!

I did some research and the H speed rated tire has a sticker rubber. But for it to last just 6K to 7K miles on the Cybebeast has to be a manufacturing defect. These tires are specially made for the Cybebeast so for them to be this bad is unforgivable. I have an appointment on Oct 1st to discuss this with TESLA.

Check out the photos at 6251 miles.
I am no expert on tires, and most certainly not an expert on Teslas. I have owned a number of performance cars tho (none as quick as the CB tho), and I hang out with other folks in the performance car world when I am able. Maybe I am missing something here, but those wear numbers seem nominal or better than I would have expected for a vehicle this heavy with this much power. Vehicles that put down a lot of power use tires, even when there is no wheel spin or aggressive cornering.

I saw the tire rotation notice at 2,500 miles and rotated at closer to 2,800. I have close to 5,000 miles on my AWD and the tires look great.

Torque is your main threat for tires. Very gentle accelerator pressure when stopped will help extend the life of your tires. The weight of the vehicle shouldn’t be an issue for a tire that is made for that weight. I cannot speak for the GY tires that come with the CT for longevity but it is a factory installed tire and those are notorious for not having long life. I would get a known truck tire for a weighty truck. The aforementioned Mickey Thompsons are good and my personal favorites are BFG KO3s. Get ones that have a 50k mile warranty as that can help for when they only last 20k and can get you prorated mileage pricing. I did that for years on my RAM 3500 dually because it burned through tires due to the Cummins torque and I switched them up at every 18-20k miles. After getting a nice tire, watch that torque. My old Big O tire dealer told me watch the accelerator and towing. Be as easy as you can on that accelerator. The CT has a lot more torque than you think and sometimes you may not notice.

The unstrung mass per wheel on the Beast is very pronounced; no matter what tire you buy, wear will be more dramatic-particularly if it’s punched regularly. I don’t think you have defective tires, all performance Teslas are hard on tires. I am at 9k on the MYP and will need replacements soon.

My tires don’t look like that after 10,000 miles… Looks like you’ve been hammering on that Cyber beast day in and day out!

and for reference my wife’s model three went through it set of tires after 10,000 miles and I know for a fact she drives like a grandma because every time I drive with her, I’m wondering how the hell she drives so slow.

Tire changes are like oil changes on Teslas, you’re gonna have to learn to drive it slower, or be prepared to pay the piper.

Please don’t tell me we need to change CT tires every 7K miles with just normal city and highway driving! All the savings on ICE maintenance will go in just replacing the tires. My BMW flat tires last for at least 30K and Porsche lasted for 40K!

Could other CT owners please share their data points for CT? I know it varies a lot based on the driver and driving mode, but it’ll be good to get an approximate ballpark on the longevity of CT tires. I hope it’s better than 7K miles!!

My back right tire blew out at 650 miles. Standard Tesla issued Goodyear tire. Deflated in 15 seconds with no nail evidence in or around tire. I never got a response about tire being warranted when I inquired.

Same feelings exactly. I have a BMW M850 GC and tires are doing fine at 20K miles and a Mercedes AMG E53 Cabriolet and Tires doing fine at 15K miles.
Right, but how many miles have you got on your ICE pickup truck that weighs ~7,000lbs with 845hp and 35” AT tires, haha!!

Sorry to disappoint OP but it won’t just be the factory tires you burn through that fast. Lots of weight plus lots of torque means only the hardest tread compounds last, but then you lose grip and traction. My model S takes about 6-12 months to burn through a set of tires. I have tried many brands. You’ll be replacing tires on the regular no matter what you do. It’s pretty much the only thing that costs more than ICE vehicles when you transition to BEVs, with the exception of a new battery pack years down the road.

FWIW

Cheers

How many miles do your tires last?

Ours based on my guess will be done at 25k. AWD. Have 20k on now. Lots of dirt, and highways. I don't have any complaints. OEM tires have never been stellar. I don't race anything except deer.
25K is acceptable. 6K to 7K is outrageous.

The texted me no warranty on my tires. So I guess I have to replace them soon.
