When will they allow the peak of 500kw?
The question is would it be for like 30 secs just long enough to take a picture to post on socials to let people think it would change the charging time ... eg 325 kW is still questionable with many graphs out there to show it makes little difference.

I'm at the one in Pleasanton and from 45% to 50% it only topped out at 170kW, then settled at 130kW.

There's some V4s on my upcoming road trip this weekend so I'll test them out.

Exciting news but we need more V4s to test around the country. There are not many V4s compared to V1-3s out there.

The good news is according to Tesla's supercharger map, there are many in development, assuming all new superchargers are V4s.
Unfortunately they are still making many V3s for some reason. Supercharge.info shows many V3s still in permitting and construction.

Because permits are long and complicated, often needlessly, but sometimes importantly. Also, not all sites will be able to provide the grid energy to supply a higher power level.

That's above where you'll get optimal charging.

Hyundai, Lucid, Porsches and Kia all charge faster than the #1 EV company in the US.
There's something about all those brands you're leaving out.

The top Hyundai charges 20-80% in 20 minutes, right? But that's only 44kWh, or about 30% of the total Wh a Cybertruck can contain.

The reason all of these 'charge faster' is because they're more efficient vehicles.

-Crissa

PS, a better argument is that the Silverado charges faster - but it does by being massively heavy and inefficient anyhow. So unless you're towing a brick, it doesn't help.

LFG!!!

All V4 superchargers in North America can now charge up to 325kW for Cybertruck

So how do I filter all the superchargers to find a v4? Can we do it while driving or on the app?

Can’t filter but you can click on them in the app and see “325 kw max”
I found one manually going to supercharge.info and filtering by type. But yes in the truck it shows 325kW max.

I don't think Tesla makes any money on supercharging. They pass on the demand cost of the electricity.
That used to be the case. Not so much now. Check the earnings report coming out later today.

Tested v4 for the first time on a 2 1/2 hour drive to a service appointment. At the Farr West, UT supercharger I peaked at 314 kw and went from 11% to 60% in 20 minutes while I used a restroom and got breakfast.

Just wait until they install V4 Cabinets that can do 500kW. It's supposed to start mid-2025, but will be a slow roll out.
