Update: finally got a response and was offered half off on a purchase despite earlier qualifying for a review unit. I politely declined, given the runaround I can’t see having a good experience if there are issues with the product.

What kind of "contest" was this? Seems pretty shady. I received the same email that I was selected for the giveaway, I replied back, after a month of being ghosted someone responded saying to just check my email and they would send me the info on how to claim it and then ghosted me again. If they simply offered you a coupon that's pretty messed up.

i had 2 options
1. I get a discount code good for 90 percent off.
Or
2. I review the product on Amazon. Not required to give it a rating so I appreciate that. It didn’t seem as scummy as other people getting full refunds for writing a 5 star review on Amazon.

so there was a wonky way to ordering the product and I understand why. This brand wants us to use keywords to locate the product and find it naturally rather than just a direct link. This helps them as a company to have their product appear more often than not.

I did place my order and very happy with the build and quality so far. Tbh I would have paid the $150 out of pocket for what it offers. I’m very happy with it I hope it last long I don’t know how clean the power coming out is but I don’t have to tools to measure that.

Thats a pretty strange process for a contest when they listed it as "win a new multi-port hub, only 5 winners selected". Glad someone at least got it and you like the product tho.

I don’t disagree with you, the fact I had to buy it then request a refund is not what I was expecting.

a giveaway they should just ship you the product directly, not use this group as a means to help their Amazon listing. Im not sure if that goes against the terms and conditions or policy’s within Cybertruck Owners Club. That’s for an admin to decide.

Either way I wanted to be 100 percent transparent with the group of those who were entering the contest.

Completely agree with you, a giveaway contest with winners is a giveaway, not a boost our Amazon ratings - but hey you said you actually liked the product so if its a fair review then its fair game. They could be a little more transparent about it though, simply say we have a geat product and we want to get some reviews so were going to give a few away to promote it. I do appreciate your feedback.
