Let's hope it's for our benefit.I fully agree. I suspect something is brewing behind the scenes regarding the CT.
Well, whatever it was may have been resolved, because I'm suddenly seeing shorter Cybertruck delivery times for online orders. It was 8 to 10 weeks everywhere, but not any more.I suspect something is brewing behind the scenes regarding the CT.

The current delivery timing may have some relationship with the distance from the Austin factory, but I've only tried a handful of zip codes so no guarantees.
Austin TX: 2 to 4 weeks
Phoenix AZ: 3 to 5 weeks
Los Angeles CA: 4 to 6 weeks
Anchorage AK: 8 to 10 weeks
Just go to the Cybertruck order page, scroll to the bottom, and enter a zip code where it says "Delivery Zip".East coast times?
if they reduced the price some, every city and district would be buying fleets of these by the hundreds to replace gas trucks.Surprised to see the RWD anywhere!
LOL.
Hey Tesla, $39,990 and sold!!
They might be upgrading, they have done this in the past. A more likely scenario is they are giving workers an extended Christmas break and shutting down the line for a bit.So here's what we know:
1. The availability of new 2025 Cybertrucks in inventory seems to be unusually low. This is true for RWDs, AWDs, and CBs. Of course, there is greater availability if you include 2025 demos.
2. New 2025 CTs in inventory are being discounted. Again, this is true for RWDs, AWDs, and CBs. Of course, the 2025 demos are also getting discounts, but that's expected.
3. If you place an order for a new 2026 CT, the estimated delivery time is 8 to 10 weeks, with no discounts. This is true for both AWDs and CBs (you can no longer order an RWD).
If it was any other manufacturer, you would probably guess that they were discounting the remaining 2025s to move them off the lots and make room for the new and improved 2026s. Historically, that's not how Tesla has operated. But that's how it looks. Maybe something really is changing on the production line.
Wouldn't you really rather have a Tesla? Of course you would. Why would Tesla stop making the worlds safest vehicle?I'm worried it's going to be something negative that impacts my order.... been on the fence for so long, finally pulled the trigger on Wednesday since I saw 2.49% was going away..
I swear if I sat on the fence about buying this thing for two years and it gets discontinued right when I order, I'm going to spite buy a Rivian.
How about this ? It was hinted at during their last public $ video. No rare earth materials in the motor. None from China or anywhere else. Homemade replacement "rare earth" material made from stuff we have here in the USA. Next public $ video due at end of January. Timing puts it in the realm of the 8-10 week delivery window. Motor 2.0 so to speak. They might be upgrading, they have done this in the past. A more likely scenario is they are giving workers an extended Christmas break and shutting down the line for a bit.
Possible for sure. I do think we're going to see some kind of update to the vehicle soon, either in an improvement or in a reduction of cost. How about this ? Is there anyway to check on the status of your build? I looked in the Tesla app but didn’t find anything. The lead time was just lowered for SoCal buyers.
The Cybertruck order page now says 4-6 weeks. It was previously 8-10 weeks.
I ordered the night before Thanksgiving. It said 6-8 weeks at the time. I've not heard anything directly from anyone at Tesla, other than regarding my trade in and financing plans, and no ETA at all showing in the app currently. Is there anyway to check on the status of your build? However, and this may or may not help you, I can't vouch for it's legitimacy:
- If I got into the app, go to my Cybertruck... I have a "Earlier Pickup Available" box, telling me (basically) if I'm willing to take a truck from inventory, I can get it faster.
- I go into that. I pick, say, one of the 2025 Cyberbeast Demos that just popped up today. and click "Compare to ordered design"
- Scroll down, and one of the comparison fields is "Availability". It shows me:
<Beast> - Now
<Your Config> - Dec 27 - 31
So... I'm _guessing_ that's my current estimated delivery date, even though nobody has actually told me that.Assuming there's something in stock local to you, maybe this might give you a totally not official date to put in your mind.
