I am looking forward to the post accident analysis.I don’t buy the CT lost the brake thing; more to this story.
In off-road mode, regen can be set to Roll mode. So regen will only work down to ~5 mph. Below that, it rolls like in neutral. The owner claims it when into a unmitigated roll downhill. Brakes and regen were ineffective. They turned into the wall to avoid going faster and off a cliff. I cant imagine what would cause both brakes and regen to fail at the same time.
Edit: They stated in video that in offroad mode regen is disabled. Is that true?
Trail assist prevents the problem. Can't imagine that was on in this case. Really helps control the roll from pedal to brake or brake to pedal. That gap in time can create roll and slip if momentum gathers and tires can't overcome. Trail assist prevents that gap in time.In off-road mode, regen can be set to Roll mode. So regen will only work down to ~5 mph. Below that, it rolls like in neutral.
Appears this video was done for clicks…intermeshed in the video the locator is marketing product. I doubt we will see a neutral post accident analysis.I am looking forward to the post accident analysis.
Yeah, I was wondering HOW it lost its brakesI don’t buy the CT lost the brake thing; more to this story.
My brakes could have failed months ago, how would I know? lolYeah, I was wondering HOW it lost its brakes
The truck was in Neutral using the tow mode, see below:I do have to admit though the retrieval of that truck was heinous work due to not being able to remain in neutral.
