Tires against police spike strips, the Cybertruck Achilles’ heel !!!

California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers from the Oakland and Marin offices teamed up Wednesday night to catch a Tesla Cybertruck, the agency announced in a social media post. The truck fleeing caused officers to engage in a pursuit, CHP said.
Officers chased the truck from Marin County to the East Bay, where officers ultimately stopped and arrested the suspects at 1:12 a.m. Video of the arrest shows smoke billowing from the truck’s wheel well after the spike strips were deployed.

I'm all for spike strips instead of the police having API access to our trucks.
I actually don't hate this idea; innocent bystanders are often victimized by high-speed chases. But, there's a great potential for shenanigans there, so if implemented I'd want to see some significant safeguards to prevent misuse and abuse.

I'm guessing this will be fait accompli for autonomous vehicles as they become commonplace.

It’s safe to say all vehicles with air tires have the same Achilles heel.
And all run-flats have the same Achilles heel(s). The worst one is that they absolutely suck, especially when they are actually flat.

Since the topic is trying to flee from law enforcement, no, run flats will not help you succeed. Because most police cars have far better tires, even when comparing to run flats fully inflated. Deflate a run flat and you have no chance of getting away from most police.

Pneumatic tires haven't been replaced by any other technology because no other technology offers more performance.

Why chase them at all, I’m sure they had the plates, just meet him at his home. Why put other life’s at risk in a high speed chase.
