Why chase them at all, I’m sure they had the plates, just meet him at his home. Why put other life’s at risk in a high speed chase.

It still doesn't mean they'll catch the actual driver if they didn't positively I.D. him while driving or coming out of the driver seat. Besides, criminals shouldn't be allowed to know they have a chance at getting away.

That's not exactly accurate.

Colorado’s no chase law limits when officers can initiate or continue a high-speed pursuit, primarily to reduce unnecessary risk to the public. Officers are generally prohibited from pursuing suspects for minor traffic violations or non-violent misdemeanors, especially (when the suspect’s identity is known) and they can be apprehended later. This restriction is particularly relevant in urban areas, where high-speed chases endanger pedestrians and other motorists.

there was recently a sting operation to intercept 500 Yellow cabs own by a cartel
and used as mules to smuggle and deliver drug !!!

Grapler!!! Best anti-running product I have ever seen used!!

You actually get to 'catch' the car AND driver and it's safer than doing a 'PIT'... Even safer than breaking off the chase as most criminals won't slow down until they are SURE there's no cops following them and since too many drivers are either high, drunk or just hopped up on adrenaline, they keep driving like crazy for at least a few more miles...

Grappler is THE best way (IMO)... Best part is, it doesn't cost all that much compared to having to redo the bodywork after an officer 'PITS' someone... That can cost anything from about $500 to over the cost of the whole vehicle if it 'breaks' it in a bad PIT...

EVERY police vehicle should have them! Or at the very least, 1 in 3... (IMO)...

Plus, it's fun to watch!
