Mostly just looking for a reason to hear opinions about this thing.
I think it kind of looks like a rehashed Honda Element.
it’s obviously not a direct competitor by any means but there are people who buy cybertrucks who I think might be interested in these.
My, old one looks better.

Is this supposed to be a serious off-roading vehicle? I see tons of spaces where mud and debris will pile up absurdly high.

Not a fan at all, but to each his own. I'm going to laugh when it doesn't come with the NACS port.

If you are going to call it a FJ then please at least keep the quirkiness of it that made it stand out. Or hell just give us the old one with newer tech and you'd get a lot more sales:

Is this the new "Ugliest Vehicle Ever"? I own an FJ40, FJZ80 and a CT. The "FJ people" that I know would never add an FJ 300 to their collection. Maybe Toyota is going after the "Subaru gang" or "Honda Cube" markets. Regardless, I'll refrain from flipping them off as they love to do to me in my CT. They'll have enough internal pain once they drive off the lot and realize they just bought the new Pontiac Aztec.

I love it - the EV Aztec.

I would rather get the Suzuki Jimny before this.

I loved my 93 LS 300, and then my 2006 GS300. I always wanted a FJZ80 and still do, but FSD has ruined me to the point that I cannot get another vehicle without it.
Unfortunately, Toyota is a few decades away from anything close to FSD, and the FUDD they keep putting out is so off-putting. From the Supra to the new Land Cruiser and now this FJ, it's been a disappointing few decades from Toyota. The only shining exception is the LC500, while not strictly a sport car, it is a great GT car. If you haven't heard the V8 in that thing, you need to.

LC’s were the affordable LFA.
I was hoping the LFA would turn into a platform other amazing vehicles would be created from. Sooooooo much amazing engineering went into the LFA.

But no, instead they crapped out the Supra.

CT in 2026?

Toyota stated the FJ will NOT be imported to the US.

Why? It was not designed for the US market and rides on a totally different platform than the Tundra/Tacoma/Land Cruiser.

Or maybe because they did market research and got reactions resembling this thread?
