It's going to be tough to ever replace the Cybertruck when the time unfortunately comes. I worry nothing will ever be as ground breaking and exciting as it is.
I hear that. The Cybertruck was absolutely groundbreaking and exciting, but groundbreaking and exciting do not always translate into a better quality vehicle or ownership experience.

In my experience, many of the things that make the Cybertruck feel innovative on paper, like 48V architecture, structural battery pack, and large castings, do not really translate into anything tangible for the customer day to day.

Steer by wire and rear wheel steering, neither of which Tesla pioneered, are the only truly groundbreaking features that I consistently felt as a driver.

At this point, I am looking for something that is boringly good. Predictable, refined, and consistent. That is why I am leaning back toward Mercedes.

What about the electric g-wagon?
It crossed my mind. Especially because at this moment in time, nationwide, they have more electric G-Wagons than any other model.

That said, I think I'm too used to rear-wheel steering to consider the G at this point. My EQS SUV had 10 degrees rear steer. My Cybertruck has 10? degrees of rear steer. My AMG EQE SUV has 9 degrees of rear steer. I don't think I could go back...

Plus, I'm really eyeing the EQS Sedan which has front and rear massaging multicontour seats, rear seat neck pillow heating, etc. Just so many creature comforts that can't be found on the G while being an easy $40,000-$50,000 cheaper.

Don't get me started on range either. Real world the EQS sedan can probably hit 400 miles easily. The G is probably close to half that.

I’d get a new Beast at the moment, but that might change in 9 days after seeing what happens with the Luxe package.

I am getting refunded for my Cybertruck. Tesla is buying it back. 😄

After my experience, I will not be getting another Cybertruck. I originally planned to replace it with a Cadillac Vistiq, but I have since changed course and will most likely return to Mercedes for our next EV.

We previously owned an EQS SUV and currently have an AMG EQE SUV. At this point, we will likely either get another EQS SUV or try the EQS sedan.

Out of all the EVs we have owned, Mercedes has provided the most consistent, reliable, and high quality experience overall. That is what has me strongly leaning in that direction again.

At this point, I have no interest in another Cybertruck or Tesla as a primary vehicle. That said, I would not rule out something like a Model 3 Performance in the future as an additional fun car, but not as a daily driver.
Interesting! This is one of the strongest opinions I’ve seen on the Mecedes EV’s. I’m intrigued now. Owned a CLS years ago and loved. Sounds like I have more research to do.

I can't imagine getting rid of the Cybertruck that I have so many good memories from. I've become very fond of her. But if forced to, having experienced how the Cybertruck transforms the driving experience on the mountain roads and trails I'm often exploring, I couldn't live (well) without another Cybertruck.

I honestly can't imagine buying anything other than another Cybertruck right now. It's funny I have always loved looking at cars and truck that look cool, but never really cared much about what I drove, as long as it worked and got me where I needed to go. The only things that excited me were way too expensive, and I had so many other things I needed to spend money on, and not enough money to spend. I got better jobs and better pay over time, but I was driving a 2010 RAV4 that was all paid off and it worked just fine, so I saw no need to make a change (and nothing really exciting enough to make a change).

But when I saw the Cybertruck I immediately started saving for it. It checked so many boxes. I actually was interested in the Rivan for a while, but when I went to a show room and sat in one, there was something about all the little plastic moving parts and pieces that felt like they would break pretty easily on me. It just didn't feel as solid or quality built as I would have liked.

Anyways, Cybertruck for me.

So I am in this boat right now. Working thru a buyback on a 2025 AWD. I am going to buy another CT as it is the best vehicle I have ever owned. The debate is the difference between a Beast and the AWD. I just do not see enough benefits for going with the Beast. Anyone have a recommendation on why Beast over AWD?

I'd get another AWD, no question.

I have an FS Beast and I'd do the same as some others have said. AWD with FSD. I don't care if it's new or not really. Just still under warranty so I can get it to the level I am happy with.
FSD is just so good at this point that I really don't need a 0-60 of 2.6s when 96% of my driving is FSD. And the overall driving comfort of the AWD is better than the Beast due to the motor/suspension config.
