I'm 6'5" and recently had to sleep in the driver seat (I cannot lay down in the truck at all other than the bed, and you will ABSOLUTELY need a mattress for that) overnight due to an unforeseen emergency. It was NOT comfortable. At all. I keep small pillows in my Model 3 and Model Y but haven't found anything that fits the 'vibe' for the Truck yet, and I regret not just grabbing those pillows before we made our way out for this event. With pillows, I think it would be fine to sleep for a few hours in the chair, but I plan on getting one of the excellent racks that have been released by companies like MARS and others, and having a pop-up tent for the real deal.

Very similar experience as in a van down by the river.

This post has made me wonder about the feasibility of creating a 'cot' that mounts from dash to rear seat by using the dash, a pole or two to the floor and the back of the rear seats (or maybe the large side flipped up?)... hmmm... Might have to mock this up.

Edit: Just went and looked at this in truck, and it would be narrow, but it's definitely doable. A properly crafted cot could easily allow someone to lay down (there's about 6'8" of usable linear space in this context) if the mount is supported in a spot behind the screen, with poles to the floor behind the seats, and then again at the back of the truck where the backseats are. I really do think it's doable, and could probably even fold up and lay flat in the bed or on the floor of the backseat...

Might just need to start making some crude models from cardboard to prove it out and then build something more realistic.

All the more reason why I'm waiting for a Cyber SUV. Fold down the rear seats and have a nice air conditioned space.

I'm wondering about a narrow, single width air mattress on floor of the back seat area with the seats folded up. I don't have my Cyberbeast yet so I can't take measurements.

It sucks. Super uncomfortable to sleep in the seats.
Cybertent, the built in padding is not enough. Get a Full size air mattress or something similar.

For me, I have to curl up QUITE a bit. Again, I'm 6'5" and there's no chance I'd be able to sleep like that.

I had to sleep in mine once. I started on the floor in the back seat area. I had, two pillows, a blanket, and two large sleeping bags to cusion the floor area. I am 5'10". It was almost long enough for me, but even with all that cushioning, the floor was uncomfortable after a while. So I put the back seats down and slept the rest of the night up there. That was more comfortable than the floor, but not ideal.

I take the box approach. Don't even try to stretch out. Start in a ball. Holding legs and knees. If one tries to find every possible inch, one will be disappointed. I use a Paco pad from rafting. Do some yoga and meditation prior to sleep. Great 3 to 4 hours of sleep.

I did the air mattress in back seat floor and my experience did not go well as my mattress deflated at night. It still was more comfortable than the front seats.

The best experience i had on road trip sleeping in vehicle was a foam mattress in Model Y with the passenger seat removed and custom floor board. Maybe I can do something similar for the truck.

oh you are tall maybe the space is not enough. Pillow and mattress i think necessary for sleeping in the truck. do you mean the roof rack like this? https://www.hautopart.com/products/...go-rack-carrier?_pos=1&_psq=rack&_ss=e&_v=1.0
