Heads up Display. At the very least a small screen line of sight forward like the aftermarket companies make.
Small item , but why cant we disable the nanny on the passenger seat like on the rears - my dogs favorite spot to ride but I have to click the seatbelt or listen to the chime every time he moves.
I thought you could just touch the warning on screen to disable it. Maybe I'm wrong. Haven't tried testing that theory.

Good list of potential upgrades, but not enough to make me buy a new vehicle. However, I'm a casual CT user (retired, warm weather resident, don't drive heavy miles, don't off-road, not addicted to speed, don't care about a wet truck bed, etc.). On the simpler side, I do wish they had grab handles for us more senior owners and a window washing system that works. Drive Safe.

Had a similar thought about that when reading a different thread. Didn't come up with anything. Nothing listed would compel me to get a newer truck.

1) Have an AWD and if I wanted something faster, a CB is already available.
2) 320 miles is more than enough for me. Heck, have taken trips in our M3 RWD with ~250 miles of range and it was fine.
3) My ā€˜20 had older hardware vs. my ā€˜23. Yes, the ā€˜23 UI is faster, but not enough to make me want to upgrade. Doubt HW5 would compel me to upgrade from my current CT.
4) I like not having a digital rear view mirror; less to potentially break.
(tangent) I would like having a digital rear view mirror on the screen in my 3 like the CT. Wish Tesla would make that happen.

5) meh; got use to the stalkless design.
6) Wish there was more fine adjustment to the intermittent wipers (slower options), but I would expect this to be a software update; don’t need to get a new truck/hardware for this.
7) Don’t have this problem. I'll clean the back camera once in a blue moon, but not regularly. Haven’t even used the front camera sprayer.
8 & 9) I don’t sleep in my truck and don’t need the extra length for cargo .
10) After a service visit, my truck bed is pretty water resistant. Not perfect, but I wouldn't buy another truck for additional resistance.
11) Don't go off road. If anything, I just use exact mode to show people how high it'll go. Never needed it.
12) [knocks on wood, hard] been very rare I needed a spare, so don't want to lug around a spare if not needed.

Money no object, can't think of another vehicle I would rather be driving as a daily ATM. So the only thing that would get me to replace my current CT is if there was a reason to not keep it; ie becomes problematic, totaled in a crash, etc.
The front camera sprayer is automatic

I love my current 2025 base AWD cybertruck, but there are a few things that I could see trading up for. For me it would be some combination of these:

1) Plaid speed
2) Battery range increase (from my 320 to say 400)
3) Hardware 5
4) Rear view mirror replaced with screen connected to rear camera
5) Turn stalks
6) Auto wiper that doesn't suck
7) Cameras that self clean (going over dusty trails I constantly have to get out and clean all the cameras)
8) Seats that fold all the way back so you can sleep in the truck
9) Rear seats that fold down and allow passthrough from the bed to the rear of the truck like the Silverado.
10) Waterproof/weatherproof tonneau
11) Baja (ala F150 Raptor) level suspension and tires
12) Integrated storage for a full size spare

What would it take for you to upgrade?
For me the following:
1) I have the Beast already so no need for Plaid. It’s already quick enough.
2) Longer range would be nice, but would that make me trade in my CTB not really. Unless it is substantial.
3) Depends on what HW5 brings to the table.
4) Would be nice, but third party mirrors do a pretty good job.
5) I’m used to the way it is now. I have the new Model Y and it seems like taking a step backwards with Tesla adding back the turning stalks.
6) I think everyone that owns a Tesla will agree to this.
7) The front one has this capability, now if they attach it to the rear camera that would be ideal.
8) I can careless about this.
9) Yes I would like thIs option.
10) Totally. Owners have retrofitted, but I’m not going to that extent. If Tesla can do it, that would be nice. Maybe even find a way to make it to current CT.
11) Not a big deal for me.
12) Definitely not a big deal for me.

On top of what I mentioned above one thing I would like to see is Tesla add a HUD. Not a screen though, just a HUD. I do like the clean area in front of the driver. If so, do away the speed in the center screen and free up some real estate for other things. Another change I would like to see, but doubtful they will change it, is incorporate the headlights to the DRL area.

Haven't really got deep snow time in yet, but from what I read:

Heat to clear headlights & nav lights of snow as it falls.

Dim the monobrow so that light reflected off falling snow is not a problem.

Heat to unfreeze tonneau track/top seems prudent. May be able to McGiver something here with resistance wire and the rear outlets ...

I would just like the ability to set speed manually. FSD14 speed profile management totally sucks for me. I just did a 100+ mile interstate trip. Just like in town, it’s either too slow or too fast, and rolling up or down speed profiles is just not precise enough. And then there is now the inability to correct the many many system speed limit errors. FSD14 has made FSD, which is the primary reason to own a Tesla, unpleasant and mostly unusable. A month ago I was going to be a lifetime Tesla owner, but not now. Upgrade to new truck? No way.

Lots of support for a large SUV out there. Personally I don’t see the need for more than 5 seats. I start having trouble getting more than 4 chicks at once. The rest of you must be doing something right.

New incentives, no more federal tax credit, we should get maybe a Tesla credit?

Waterproof vault. It's called a vault, should be secured.

More range. 500 miles would be great.

One extra seat, front middle would be great.

I would consider if range was 500 miles. AI5 maybe. But otherwise everything is great but new features are always nice. But not enough to upgrade.

Rear view mirror....what is that and where do I find it in the truck? Is that some feature I dont know about? I already have the screen but they also put in a mirror. Will have to check this out.

Turn stalks....why? Why do people want these back. I was sad the new model Y has them...regression.

New seat design. I much prefer the seats in my 2025 Model Y over the CT seats in terms of comfort/padding.

Tesla auto wipers have sucked since my first Model S in 2016. It's been a consistent complaint and ridiculous considering the fix is a $5 rain sensor standard on every other vehicle.

Anyone remember "Deep Rain", the AI that Elon promised was going to finally fix this all the way back in 2019? Six years later and the problem remains.

I think part of the problem is the cars being designed in dry California as opposed to rainy Seattle.

I like what everyone else has mentioned
  • 100% would need lifetime free supercharging. I have it now.
  • Either another or a relocated rear camera above the tonneau so you can still use it
  • Remote (wireless or wired with a long wire) camera that you could put on the back of a trailer to keep FSD while towing.
  • Better protection for the front facing camera. A replacable cover for the lens. Yes I know you can buy covers 3rd party. I have some now, but you couldn't before and mine was already dinged at 6k miles. Having to buy a whole new camera is crazy since the part was poorly designed in the first place.
