Today was the day to swap out winter tires for summer. Yes, it seems late, but I wait until the mountain roads near my cabin are snow-free which didn't happen until mid-July. This photo is from July 8th:

When I do seasonal tire changes I always inspect the brakes, brake lines, electrical wires in the wheel well, rubber CV boots, etc. Anything I can see with the wheels removed. Because my winter wheels were purchased from Tesla with my $2500 credit, and I had to pick them up at the service center, I let them do the winter install last November so this was my first time pulling the wheels off on the Cybertruck.

When I was in there, I noticed this curious aluminum cylinder that I have to admit, I can't figure out what it's for. Anyone know? If I recall, it's just behind the right rear A-arm. Maybe it has something to do with the rear wheel steering? It looks bright because I wiped it off but it didn't look like it had contacted anything. It's bolted to the aluminum chassis casting.

Oh, I also installed the Cyber Wheel Covers for the first time. I don't think they will be on for long as I plan to take them off for off-roading (because they cover the valve stems and would probably get gouged), but it's a little change of pace in the looks department. My wife (who loves riding around in the Cybertruck) said she doesn't like the look because they stick out too far. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I commissioned a CyberPen for 007. Machined aluminum and stainless steel with a Space Pen cartridge. Can write upside down, underwater, in zero gravity or on a Martian rock. Also, capable of being used as a self-defense weapon a'la "John Wick." 007 deserves a fine writing instrument inside the cabin.

About to open up this accessory. Probably one of my worst financial decisions ever. $750 for a cooler that’s not a Yeti and doesn’t have plug in power. What was I thinking. lol. 🀣
