Underbed Storage bin - alternate use?

Personally, I don't see the under-bed storage bin as being especially useful - IF you are actually using the vehicle as a truck. If there is cargo in the bed - you can't get to the stuff in the bin.
I'll be keeping my tow strap, tools, etc... in an under back seat tray.
As an alternate use - how about a smaller range-extender pack that fits in that space? Add some range, but don't loose bed space.

It depends on your definition of a truck.

Most folks don't continuously keep something loaded in the back of the bed.

Makes a great ice chest for tailgating. Bonus, you can plug in your blender for margaritas too.
