oh interesting. ok im thinking that ill need to do some cutting. and so it seems like my bed is slightly shorter but also slightly wider than yours because I need these strips for a tight left to right fit:

I also got the little ramp/handle add on so ill need to do some altering of the panels at the break to make that work or just return them.

I did use the 2” strip on the back 4 rows, but not on the last 2 rows.

I'd be curious to see efficiency numbers for the bed cap vs solid bed rack. It would make sense a bed cap would make towing a trailer marginally better (as cybertruck one kinda proved)

As with any offroad parks, crossbars, rooftop tents, lit kits, bumpers, adding weight, etc the efficiency will decrease pretty significantly.

For reference, 2020 New Defender X got 15mpg stock, that turned into 9mpg once it had a rack, rooftop tent, side ladder and box, lift rod kit and tires. So lost 40%, i never thought twice.

Our Cybertruck FS #5036 from April 24' got 200 miles from 80% charge driving from San Diego tot he Bay Area doing 77mph w/ Offroad tires, 1" Lift rods, CyberCamper, complete Offroad package w/ winch on the front bumper spare on the rear, Baja Designs Lights on top and Awning on the side.

Thanks for the realism. I feel like I have a much better educated feel for how this all affects range because of that post.

So what’s the best way to trim these? Dremel?

I didnt need to trim after all. starting with four 1” strips at at the cab, and 1” strips
on one side. that allows for alignment with the smugglers bay door.

but if you wanted to get access to the floor tiedowns then yep a dremel would likely do the trick. the panels are pretty soft.

Happy to give real numbers vs its "the no range loss" statement. It will lose range unless you're driving down a hill, everything kills milage on all vehicles. 17% was stock offroad tires, 1" lift and no wheel caps, NOTHING on top.

It is also very much a nod and compliment to the original design that it is as efficient as it is.
