Pay the workers more is what I got from it. Elon wants it, but the workers deliver those wants and more. It's not the other way around.

that is just too much. I really like Tesla, I love my CT and would get a robot for sure but 1T is just too much. Spread that a bit towards the workers, people who design and engineer these things. Get more talent and not cut corners we will end up with less quality control stuff from the get go.

I support Elon's vision for Tesla's future and 100% all in on his comp. The 1 trillion dollars are in stocks, no actual cash payment, as far as I can make sense of this new comp package:geek:

It isn’t $1T. Not even close. That’s what it COULD be if TSLA accomplishes things that have never been achieved in the history of the world - I think the objectives are virtually unachievable, but I also thought that about the last comp package’s goals. If Elon/TSLA pulls off the goals, it will be teh world’s biggest company and have dominant market share in each of its sales categories. That’s vanishingly unlikely - but if he does it, so what? Elon is a member of the giving pledge, so will not be keeping it anyway. Shareholders and consumers will be huge beneficiaries and the comp will be well warranted. Again, I think the goals aren’t achievable. It also isn’t about the gross dollar amount from Elon’s perspective - it about control in the form of his percent ownership of the company’s equity.

Man. There seems to be almost no relationship at all between the news cycle and stock price. It’s crazy.

That's because the news is mostly fake/misleading, and the portion that's real is mostly irrelevant to Tesla's future earnings.

When people like Michael Burry try to reduce the losses of their short position by telling people to sell, it has the opposite effect. Smart investors smell profit potential and buy. Investors are onto the fake news.

I saw a Yahoo Finance segment today where one of the so called "experts" was saying that other EV makers have passed Tesla up in EV technology and software. Either he's corrupt or misinformed. Either way he's dumber than a rock. Tesla has class leading performance, efficiency, and cost to produce. Which simply means it makes sense for Tesla to produce EVs in large numbers while their EV competitors would just increase their losses if they made as many as Tesla. Tesla's main competitors are still ICE vehicles.

Even in markets buying more EVs than ICE, Tesla dominates. For example, Norway reached 97.6% EV market share in Norway last month and Tesla was the number one manufacturer by a large margin (VW in second place).

As a side comment, those Norwegians must be stupid considering 97.6% of new car sales right before a Norwegian winter were EVs, you know, cars that don't work well in cold weather. You would think Norwegians would wait until spring so they could enjoy their new purchase and not have to struggle with an electric car in the middle of a Norwegian winter! 🤪

They must be ignorant newbies to this whole EV thing! Even Americans know EVs are crap in cold weather! It really makes you wonder who brainwashed them. ;)

They have historically been significantly more environmentally aware than most Americans.
You know, it almost appears they give a shit how they leave the planet for the next generation.
