You can do this now. Activate/deactivate/reactivate while driving. With or without a NAV destination. You can even switch to TACC while driving in FSD. BUT, you cannot go back to FSD from TACC while driving.

Facts. 100%. The way it likes to hug the left side of the lane sometimes is down right scary. I truly believe non-of the Tesla engineers own a Cybertruck with FSD. If someone did they would see how poorly it does in that regards.

Apparently not based on my experience. It turned off and told me I could not use it again for exactly 7-days. I literally had to pull myself over because I was really falling off consiousness...

And sure enough, exactly 7-days later I could finally use it again....it actually started right up with the constant "Why don't you try FSD" messages on the screen...

Usually you get 5 strikes. Wild it cut you off and put you in jail… unless youre saying it gave you all 5 strikes in 1 drive? Even that youd neee to pull over, put it in park and open your door and get out/back in for it to consider it a “new drive”…

I honestly don't know exactly what happened. All I know is I was really, really tired and then it refused to allow FSD anymore. I imagine that yes, all 5 strikes happened in that particular drive...but I was too out-of-it to count, or remember, exactly what happened. I have never had this happen before.

I’m convinced that it’s easier to stay awake with FSD for the same reasons — your eyes are free to look around and not be hypnotized by the striped lines.

If someone is drowsy or drifting out of a lane, and they engage FSD how will that help them stay more focused? I would imagine that it would have the opposite effect.

FSD allows you to change your body posture (and thus, blood flow) much more so than if you are preoccupied with manually driving. Frequent posture shifting helps tremendously with road hypnosis, and drives up your overall 360 degree awareness.

I am never more aware and alert to things happening around me than when FSD is in control.
