PowerShare finally installed and running

Update… 3rd Powershare installed and it lit up! I had 2 defective units… I guess 3rd time‘s the charm. Jack from JFF here in NY was great. Patient and worked with Tesla to get my replacement units. I was surprised by how quickly it takes over when we simulated a power failure. Now I will have to buy a Powerwall if I ever don’t have a Cybertruck.

Update… After 2 DOA Powershare units, the 3rd worked for about 2 months and now shows no activity. Here I go again!

Jack from JFF also did my PowerShare install. Took 1 full day and backed up my whole house. I would recommend him to anyone, great guy!

Getting a new roof and solar. Electrician is charging additional $800 to add PowerShare to the project.

Finally got a decent quote from local company a few months ago; they do all my Tesla installations. But now Tesla is making them go through Qmerit so not much happening; installer is waiting for equipment from Qmerit. I have approved the quote from the electric company. Started last December trying to get this done. I have the local Tesla Sales Center involved. (Also, still waiting on light bar).

Powershare Gateway from Qmerit ? You can't just order it from the Tesla store anymore?

That just sucks! Any chance they’d give you some credit for the Gateway and then just put that towards a PowerWall 3? Once Tesla releases the over the air update, you’ll be good to go!

Well, it used to, then became a $2500 credit for the Tesla store that one could use to buy it (or other stuff), then the FS came with free lifetime Supercharging instead.
Only for a very brief period did the installers order it directly.
