Used some longer bolts and nylon washers. That fixed the clearance issue. However the housing needed modification and it still isn't on right.

Anyone who's not handy or patient with their work, I'd recommend skipping this product for now. Should not have to run to home Depot for parts and break apart plastic to get this to work.

Those that want to try, these are the bolts and washers I got.

Once you get those, there are some thin plastic pieces inside the housing which just twist off worth a pair of pliers real easy.

I feel like if they include these bolts and washers, provide actual instructions for both sets of bolts, and trim the housing, then this would be great.

Side note, it feels solid once in. Doubt it will move around at all unless you're on a Baja run.
do you just need one set of these, or two?

On Aug 30,2025 I ordered the Swivel Mount Kit Screen Rotating Holder V2 (Original Screen Height) For Cybertruck
https://www.tesstudio.com/products/cybertruck-screen-swivel-tilt-mount-rotating-holder-tesstudio®?_pos=2&_sid=d7807eb34&_ss=r&variant=51628763513121
Today I installed it and found a problem.
The bracket shown in the picture below cannot be installed because it runs into the USB C connector on the back of the display screen.
I had to notch the bracket so that it would fit around the USB C connector. See the second picture.
After notching the bracket the rest of the installation proceeded without problem.

That still appears to be a tight fit with little tolerance.

Thank you. When is the new version that addresses the defect going to be released? I have the V1 and would consider upgrading to the V2 but I'd rather wait so I don't have to do all the modifying to it again to just make it work.
Thanks for your feedback, we will improve it

I decided to remove mine. It was bothering me even with a small washer in there it’s still putting some pressure on the connector. It might be ok now but a couple years from now who knows, and at that point I doubt they will cover the cost of replacing the screen. I can picture it breaking the connector from that board. I’ll be requesting a return and refund

This was my concern as well and why I hacked mine to pieces to make it work. I didnt want any pressure on it at all. Adding the swivel makes the screen a moving part now - How many swivels until something breaks? Who knows, maybe never, but im not taking that chance. You already know the metal isn't going to give so the connection is the weak point here. Btw there is a 0% chance they will cover the screen now, forget about later.

Another one. This issue appears to be more common than not i guess. We shouldn't have to do this much modification, especially when something as critical as the screen is involved. It needs further updating.

What dimensions did you make your notch? I have a friend who can do it for me and the dimensions would be super helpful

This is what exactly looks like with mine and I reverted it to original.

What bothers me is this company is not responding to my email as I requested the refund.

Submitted the dispute to the bank and will see what happens.

Put the bracket up against the cable without the screws tightened but enough so it just touches the bracket and you can trace the cable outline onto the bracket so your friend will know where to cut, give it a little margin of error so it has wiggle room. See my post link earlier in the thread, it has pics of me doing it.

They initially responded in 18th, so I replied back with refund request.

No response since then.
