I’ve said since day one the factory light bar seems dim to me. Not nearly as bright as I was expecting. It’s by far the coolest “looking” option for the truck though, IMO. It’s definitely only posing and that’s disappointing.

If it didn’t come with my CB, there’s no way I would spend $2500 on what they’re producing in terms of light thrown. I’ve got multiple handheld flashlights that produce more light.

Great video, I just got the hansshow bar. Originally ordered the pod lights but they encountered some type of production issue.

After hooking up the oem lightbar, can you use the software to control the Tsportline light bar?

Hopefully Tesla bumps up the power output to their light bar.

That's a pretty amazing difference. I would be interested in seeing range testing comparisons to see if either light bar has a noticeable affect on range or wind noise. The OEM bar certainly looks more streamlined, but doesn't seem as functional.

I appreciate this comparison. There are pros and cons on both. Tesla 5x less draw on battery but with less light output. TSL more draw on battery with 7x light output. It definitely is a choice for consumers.
Tesla has the ditch lights. As well works with light shows and software. TSL has more forward distance lighting with Central Beam! No ditch lighting from what I have seen in the video. Not sure about working with software or light show?? If you can answer that would be appreciated.
Both aesthetics very. TSL from top Mount to Tesla more body molding. IMO both are great quality products. Depends on your own application as to what you need and want as a customer.
As far as price point goes I know the Tesla’s $2500. I didn’t hear any reference to price as far as what the TSL cost was.

Your comparison of these light bars is not what I would call an unbiased, objectively accurate comparison It fails to observe the details that a potential user would need to know, with emphasis on the details that matter most on any electric vehicle, especially one for off-road, where a charging station could be out of reach. obviously, power consumption and efficiency would be first on the list, and max output (lumens) would be further down the list, like 3rd or 4th. A light bar with only 50 watts consumption compared to one with 250 watts is 5 times better, if you ask me. what good is a light bar that you can't turn on because your battery is low?

eh? what you're saying makes no sense, sorry. Judging a light bar 'for lowest power' consumption and totally disregarding the light output as a winner is not a thing, not even in the land of EVs.

I think you're totally missing the point. The Tesla light bar is not 'more efficient', it's just much 'weaker'. The power consumption measurements are only included to confirm the major differences in light output we noted.

FYI: Full light 250w for 5hrs is < 1% of Cybertruck battery

If you extend this logic, the best light bar is.....no light bar?

...and also running without headlights I presume to reduce energy consumption associated with illumination.

Maybe that's why Rivians come with a flashlight? Use that instead?

I doubt consumption is really that low for 5hrs with 250w lightbar. Anyway why do you need to light up the whole desert camp ground ? and blind everyone out in front of you my OEM light bar is plenty bright enough thank you.

If your goal is lighting up your camp site, that's one thing. Most folks use lanterns for that, a lot easier on the eyes and never as pointed as any light bar.

For outrunning the truck when offroading / overlanding, max light output is the goal (so you can immediately see things and avoid hitting them).

awl man, you know what I mean? to light up whatever it is your lighting up, reasonably you don't need that much power for lights. very few people will actually run their CT at those speeds in an offroad situation where you would need the lights to "outrun the truck I've been to several sites with 30 plus cybertruck present and most are too cautious to go above 30mph while in a offroad situation maybe 5 of the 30 will go a little extreme with 1 guy that go's max extreme orange CT you know who you are.

anyway just received the lightbar recall notice in the mail letting me know that there will be a recall to replace the light bar with one that bolts in place so it can't fly off. But they don't have the part yet. so wait until they notify me again.
